We have a billionaire backer who if he wants to make a statement that he cares for the team stumps up BH pay for 2 years and makes him suffer for humiliating us. Firstly you are assuming Sullivan can not organise the side now. I think he can now and keep improving if he was given consistent games in that position.
Secondly that's the job of the coach to teach the kid, like a swimming coach who progresses a kid in his career.
We don't throw someone else in the pool with him.
Any way lets see how things pan out.
Unfortunately I am concerned the NRL will step in and not allow this request to leave happen.
In my opinion there may be people with other agendas regarding players, who may put pressure on the NRL to stop this request to leave from happening, for their own potential gains.
That would be a disaster for us.
We need to get rid of Hunt now.
If we can get something in return great,if not just move on.

Let hunt sit out the rest of the season and see which club he want's to go to next year and then decide which player's we want from that club.

Personally what I'd like to see is if a player wants to break a contract to go to a rosier home then ok...but the value of his existing annual contract is deducted from the new club's cap for the next season ( on top of his new contract) and added to his old club's cap as compensation.

Tino, Fifita, Brimson, Campbell and even Beau Fermor are all signed until 2026. You'd be looking at Jaimin Jolliffe or Isaac Liu... decent but not exactly going to be huge upgrades to our squad

Don't forget little Benny is signed long term also just depends how bad they want him

So they are all signed up until the end of 2026. Hunt is signed up until the end of 2025. Give us Fifita for Hunt, the deal is done and dusted. No major increase or decrease in the cap for either club.

Show the same attitude towards any player that wants to break his contract with the Dragons. If a player swap cannot be found then the player or gaining club should payout the contract.
