It just goes to show not all young junior stars make it at NRL level. Plenty dont.
But dont discount our recent poor patrhways training / coaching ethics and culture to transition them from good star Flegg players or even good reggies players to 1st grade as a factor.
I hope that changes now too with getting the right people in to do the job. It will take time because we have not had the right people in for 12 years.

o Musgrove is the only player we are trying to offload that we will miss on the paddock.. he was always going to get an offer.. his issues are off the field I assume given the way we handled him this year.

o I like the idea of Hunt@6, a lot of punters on here have always said hes literally a running 6.. I hate having his hands on the ball first.. perhaps Kyle will be the future captain.. hes still 4yrs away from his peak.. I dont rule any 7 out based on the early years... Kyle might well end up our captain in time.

o Not sure we have any way to get rid of Amone though until his court case is done.. and I dunno if were gonna get offers for guys like Turner or MaxF etc.. nor will we have Ramseys money, so thats maybe 1.7m right there..

o Hard to imagine Amone has already pi$$ed the coach off just days into his tenure, and while on holidays.... but given his crime, he seems like not the sharpest tool in the shed.. tbh I couldnt give a rats who Shane wants to keep or get rid of.. just not attached to any of them for the first time in my life.. the side is diabolical... and the roster needs to be blown up and a whole new system begins.. I heard on the podcast that today he went out to office works and he's even rejigging the training rooms for the fresh start.

o But the major concern is I know Flanno has some ideas about who he wants, but it seems like at this stage we still cant get real recruits through the door.. atleast he's dumped the manly job however.. and he can focus hard on our recruitment.

If Amone is the answer, you're asking the wrong question.
Or you've asked the question "Which current Dragons player would you least like to meet on a rooftop?".
11/2 good games in two years says "Move him on."
The (C)Hunt at 6 idea has some merit, but no doubt he'd burr up about being asked to play there.
What about 6 Mulheisen 7(C) Hunt 9 Liddle 14 The Coaches Kid?

hooper on 360 reckons benny will agitate for a release in the off season and expects titans will be the preferred team , So Flanno is still in a position to negotiate for a player swap or two if this happens Flanno must be a jigsaw champion as there must be a multitude of pieces that he is working on in order to solve this puzzle . Hopefully at the end its been all worthwhile , what an off season we are in for !!!!!!!!!!!

For me I'm just going with the @getsmarty theory which is sit and wait and let Flanno do his magic. I will give the mole, fox, smh, telegraph the flick and just wait until whatever is announced officially. There are obviously many moves going on which none of us will never be privy to, and the way we have suffered for so many years we hang off every bit of BS we can in some form of hope. I believe this year is different, Flanno keeps things under wraps, it was his style at the sharks, he hates the media circus. How often now have we heard a bit of BS and minutes later Flanno has come out and said its crap. I'm banking on team Flanno and unless i hear it from his mouth or our official site its just all BS !!!

I am sick to death of seeing stuff about Hunt from these goons on 360. They keep dragging stuff up and I am sure is hurting the Dragons' chances of getting good players over the line.

I can easily ignore this stuff but when it is constantly being churned out on tv and because it will be the off season soon, they will be drumming up shit to make it appear that Hunt wants to go. They will be looking at every move, every word said by Hunt to make a story about how shitty he still is which could be far from the truth but yet true as well.

This situation will be ongoing no matter what over and over in the off season. The club will be hurt, the players will feel it.

I said that I would give this a rest and have faith in Flanno to make sure that things work themselves out but I know that from what I hear and read, these blokes won't give it a rest and will keep asking questions.

Flanagan or the CEO needs to be transparent with this drama. Hunt needs to be transparent as well.

It is getting to the stage that what Hunt has said - "at this stage I will be going to the Dragons pre-season". is not enough. He needs to say that he is actually going to play at the Dragons for all of next year at least, otherwise, just tell the truth and say that he wants out and then the Dragons can tell him to eff off and go so that we can get on with concentrating on bonding the team without him.

Chill @Dragon David it was only Hooper the palucka that is damn sure + the Fox script is running out of stories as the season winds down.
I suppose Hooper is never wrong....how the hell did he get a start on TV?

I cannot bring myself to read this. The "at this stage I am going to play at the Dragons for all of next year" comment from our Captain is very hard to stomach. It is disrespectful and annoying. He is 33 years old, he knows what he is doing with the media. No one put a gun to his head to sign the contract last year under Griffin. And suddenly now he wants to go home to QLD now dad has been given the flick?

I can't even continue. How he is still our captain is hard to understand. I hope Flanno has a plan and is playing the player.
