Yes please. A weak link we can do without.then it could be an early retirement for him.

Yeh play him at lock as he has defensive issues. We have arguably the best defensive lock in the NRL in JDB and you want this bloke. Bird is a shadow of Jack, only good for short mins off the bench or playing Ressies..
Certainly not missed mate.Lets face it he wasnt critical to the Dragons last season
Dearden could be on the Roosters radar. They need to get a 5/8th to replace Keary who could leave at the end of 2024.Dearden has performed as a 5/8th not a half back. The hope he can turn into a halfback is fraught with danger. I'm happy to get him to play 5/8th unless he can show this season he can also play halfback. He was let go by the broncos & excelled at the cowboys playing as a 5/8th. If we're going to pay Dearden $1mil+ to play for us, I'd rather pay more to get Luai who is a proven multiple premiership winning player & helped turn the panthers around from the bottom to the top. He's also proved he can play as a dominating half at rep level taking Samoa to the WC finals. Dearden has had 1.5 good season. There's no guarantee Dearden will stay with us after his initial contract nor can he be successful in performing to this level over multiple years.
Ones a proven premiership player & the other is not. Happy with Dearden as a 5/8th but not as a halfback.

Dearden has always been a halfback apart from the last couple of years at the Cowboys because he's still so young and they've put an experienced halfback next to him to help out. He is a long-term halfback. You can't really make the claim Luai excels in that role based off the WC in my opinion. The international game is so much slower than the NRL. Playing in a harder, faster competition at halfback week in week out with the job of steering a team around is a very different prospect.Dearden has performed as a 5/8th not a half back. Roosters set to re-sign Keary. Our competition for Dearden will probably be mainly Cowboys and Dogs. Wouldn't be shocked to see Titans and/or Dolphins enter the race eitherDearden could be on the Roosters radar. They need to get a 5/8th to replace Keary who could leave at the end of 2024.
I really take a fence wif vat fing you just rote since77!Has there been an influx of stupid people joining this forum lately? Bird says he has a bit of a sore knee and people on here are condemning him to medical retirement…..
But back to my first sentence. Geez the standard of posts has been dropping lately. It’s like the average IQ of the forum has gone down the last few months.
So Tom Eisenhuth has said goodbye and thanks to the Storm but there is no confirmation that he has joined us or any other club??Eisenhuth farewells Storm
Melbourne Storm’s Tom Eisenhuth has reflected on his time at the club with pride and gratitude as the fan favourite bids farewell to the purple jersey.www.melbournestorm.com.au
no mention of tom-E?
8 weeks later almost ?
Would it be fair to say he will probably be ahead of Birdy for left second row
either Birds position to loose........ or Bird to fight for? Russell was also on the improve as second rower 193cm and 103kg now..........late bloomer and minimal injury run vs his career to date.
I think at this stage Tom E is better as an edge backrower than Birdy at probably 25% of the contract price ie $125k pa vs $500kish pa
and Tom E can play centre at a pinch also........Centre till about 5 years ago

He doesnt have a current contract, so the 10 days counter-offer period wouldn't apply.. but maybe there is still some negotiation going on in the background.. or working out some details about moving his family etc..we dont announce until after 10 days, expect to be in coming days id say
