The tigers are 'exactly' 2years in front of our rebuild 'if' we get a Dearden or AFB type signing.. their sequence went something like:

o Step 1: Nov 2021: Papali'i (announced for 2023) - huge speculation he would backflip
o Step 2: 2022: Players signed for 2023: Api, Klemmer, Bateman, Staines
o Step 3: 2022-2023: No big names I agree, but all their gun kids have been kept so far.. Bula, Staines (again), Talau, Tupou.. im sure there are a bunch of others in there.. they also pulled Sullivan from us in the process...
o Step 4: Dec 2023: Havent pulled this off yet.. but theyre in the box seat for Luai (and hopefully not AFB for our sake)

The Tigers roster is still bottom 4... but I really like the way they went about their rebuild (from rock bottom), Api was a masterstroke.. and their kids (Stefano and the backs) are in demand 1st grade near rep level kids.. versus ours that have all struggled.. there is a lot to like imo about the Tigers rebuild.. I just hope (for our sake) that Benji cant coach.
We agree to disagree I guess. Except Api and Bula are their gun signings they cant do alone and are better than our spine
I will say this re tem being 2 years ahead
1. Rookie Coach who appears to not communicate with Fulton and tends to go alone
2. Similar dysfunctional HO
3. Staines from Penrith hardly has played 1sts...they tried to offload then about faced recently
4. Talau gone to Manly and Tupou was rumoured in talks with someone else

Yep. I think the Tigers' trajectory for 2024 will be good. They definitely won't be wooded spooners next season and they will win a lot more than last season. The one player that will help again next year is Api. He has a great footy brain, he thinks ahead as a hooker should and did quite well in his first season this year at the Tigers.

If they did land Luai for 2025, they will be even much better going forward from there. The club is looking ahead and their rebuild will get them up there. Sheens gone now so Benji will make more of the decisions and just might surprise everyone with good results.
Tigers may improve but then again, they may not. I think Benji could struggle, particularly if they lose their first few.
Their halves are a lottery, could be great, could be terrible.

Benji is completely out of his depth. He literally has zero coaching experience apart from an assistant role under Sheens last season. He's somehow now an NRL head coach because he's a cult hero. That board will try and throw him under the bus regardless when results don't go their way, whilst his and Farah's unbelievable egos won't let them succeed as coaches. It's a laughable appointment again from the tigers, absolute basket case.

I am praying Benji is useless also, honestly we NEED him to be.. the Tiges are 2yrs in front in terms of recruitment (we still need our Papali'i / Api signings).. and 2yrs in front in terms of juniors actually being 1st grade ready.. thats a big headstart.

I think Benji will be a better coach than Cirraldo and the Tigers will finish higher of the 2 in 2025. The Tigers actually started to play better when Benji took more responsibility where as the Dogs were dreadful and no player improved under his coaching. They all complained about his coaching and morale was toxic in the end, that surely cannoty be good for a rookie's 1st year as a coach.

Wonder how long NRL will suspend Amone for?. Until his community service is up in 2 yrs?
Whatever it is BLM01 he deserves a decent suspension. He has escaped jail time but definitely won't escape a significant NRL suspension and maybe other penalties. There might be some leniency though because Junior has been stated to be the bread winner for the Amone family (as his father is most probably an idler and does the odd job here and there and I don't want to add anything further - just the reading of his past misdemeanours). So I'm really not wanting to say and not even predicting anything as to what will be the final outcome of Junior.

Amone only has 1yr left on his contract.. so if its more than 12 weeks suspension.. I mean you may aswell tear it up..

Normally I would say for the players mental health that he continues to train and keep his mind busy.. but the lack of seriousness with which Amone seems to take this matter.. and playing the card that he wasnt even there.. it doesnt fill me with much compassion, because im not sure he learnt anything from the experience.

The Tigers have signed a super rugby convert.

We need a hulking speedster like this Solomon guy. If we can get a player like this guy, it will certainly help us scoring more tries.
