Maika Sivo has officially left the Eels , he is off to the Leeds Rhinos , which May free up Ravalawa to join Leigh

So the Dragons and Eels and other clubs have identified that a good winger needs to -
run fast, able to leap high to catch bombs, able to catch, able to swerve and dummy, have side steps, be able to out run other wingers, have solid defence, etc., etc. The catch and barge then just does not fit the bill in todays market.

Amazing that both Sivo and Rava have been damaging try scorers same as Semi Radradra (when at the Eels). All Fijians and have provided good service in their own way but now not the type of winger that clubs want now.

Semi Radradra is one of the best wingers in world rugby at the moment, what a freak that bloke was (is)

Let the law do what it does 1st and then see what the NRL does.

Hopefully the NRL has learned its lesson and waits for the judicial outcome and its evidence to become public before imposing penalties.

Then when it does impose a penalty hopefully it is truly befitting based on where the public expect it to be and no more protection rackets of “I booked into a Bali rehab facility”

As a young bloke I knew many on either or both. It was the meth that really screwed lives

The body breaks down cocaine and meth differently, which means the duration of the effects also differ. Meth stays in the body longer than cocaine does.

long term Cocaine use = Headaches & risk of

• Reproductive damage and infertility
• Lung damage and disease
• Heart attack
• Stroke

Pretty much like a smoker

Long term Meth Use =

• Deteriorated teeth and gums (meth mouth)
• Brain damage similar to that caused by Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s Disease
• Meth sores, skin infections and acne Lung, kidney and liver damage
• Hallucinations

Much more permanent

Meth is much more addictive and socially scorned whereas Cocaine is considered a 'party drug' that is socially acceptable for casual use. The only issue is cocaine is a shitload more expensive than Meth. But $$$ are of no concern to highly valued young NRL players.

An astute observation DD and you're right. However, there is some confused thinking around all this as coaches also rely heavily on strong running wingers to do the early hit ups after a 6th tackle kick while struggling forwards lumber back on side. I guess the modern prototypes are Xavier Coates and Will Warbrick but tall, strong fast athletes like them don't grow on trees. The Fijian and other big blockbusters you mentioned still have a role imo (eg Ryan Hall still playing at Wigan).

Yeah hoping we're not in that mix. Was overhyped dramatically in my opinion. Did some really dumb stuff pretty consistently, hands were never that good. Seems like a tigers level signing to me

He is a good jumper though, I will never forget that game he tried to hurdle the defensive line haha.

Can't have been watching too many Dragons games. Hunt would have made no difference to the Doggies finals run. I'm not convinced that Canterbury are the least bit interested in Hunt. They've got Sexton, he goes alright and he's young enough to keep learning. Hunt isn't either of those things.

Plus gave Hunt a bath both times we played them.
