Hope that hewi’s rumour becomes a reality , perhaps another younger forward who can give the Big Red V some grit in defence and attack .

Matt Lodge lives on the Northern Beaches with his wife & 4 kids . He bought the home end of 2022 and was reported recently that he still trains independently with Jake Trbjovic.

It would be a lot easier for him commuting to Maroubra than the Gong.

Yep, certainly big wraps on the LPT (Lofty Powered Tonga). He is young but has the capabilities of playing in the NRL so I'd pick him as a benchy sometime next year mainly for the experience.

I'm going to wear my heart on my sleeve here and go out on a limb, I cant see Flanno leaving us with so much on his plate. He was in a position where no club wanted to touch him, apart from the Dragons at the end. For him to leave in 2 years time it would be untenable to have him as coach right now, It would be a disgusting act, and one that I honestly dont think Flanno would want any part of, reputational wise. He knew it wasn't going to be easy at the Dragons, but I also think he likes it that way. I would be devastated if he took this offer especially after everything that has happened.

He's got two more years on his current contract hasn't he? Saints supporters are like lambs to the slaughter for these anti-journalists.

I would love this to be true... though im not holding out too much hope... even though Flanno does like to undersell, he genuinely seemed like he was given up filling the 30th slot until 'something exciting came up'.. but it would knock our socks off if he came up with an unexpected/unpublicised prop.

Flan doesn’t seem to operate like that. He is a pretty straight up guy no bullshit. he has said he will hold onto the last spot till January or beyond . Makes sense as who knows what will shake loose. I think recruitment is done for a while now.
shame we don’t have 2 more spots aka Rav and cake.
