Yeh interesting
But instead of May telling the world I don’t know the reason. If it was really bugging him just pick up the phone to Robbo and ask for feedback
Unless Robbo had to lie in fear of litigation which I doubt.
Yes more to for sure.. it if he seeks the answer in private

Listening to him I am not sure yet he is as good as he thinks WIWO to also be in the frame for origin etc and that alpha prop whatever that is or is a new modern buzz word for front rowers
Sounds like a pack of lions or dogs.

There will be downs next year which will be unavoidable but I am really excited towards seeing us play in the new season. I am expecting us to improve out of sight in our attack and defence and I am really keen to see the new signings play in the RedV as well as the lucky youngsters who will get experience in the top grade. We have some gems in waiting.

I can see that our players are eager and wanting success more next year and that will drive them on to compete with consistency and play the game with a lot more energy and purpose.

Better leadership is what I also see.

We can expect plenty of challenges and hurdles but the players with their increased resilience will overcome them.

Good Luck Dragons in 2025.

Yes it certainly will be D.D. Not only the leadership as you have mentioned , but also the ball flowing more freely to the team by those same individuals - namely Cook and Gutherson , resulting in a more organised attack .

Our Achilles heel unfortunately will be our defence which I am sure that Flanagan and Young will be working on .

I cannot get over the timing nor the length of the call - a 2 minute call , 2 days before a international game ?

Good lawd , I certainly hate to receive a call from him telling me that my house has caught fire - and has burnt down to the ground - oh and by the way , make sure you turn up to training on time ! 😳

Our biggest advantage is Shane Flanagan. I think that if, Hypothetically, all squads were equal in skill and talent, then Bellamy, Cleary, Bennett and Flanno would get their respective teams to the top 4.

He managed to beat Bellamy in a GF with an inferior team. He consistently had the Sharks firing and playing semis for many of his seasons there, even though, they were rarely tipped for those results. He managed a huge improvement this season with a squad tipped for the spoon by nearly everyone. He has managed to sign 6+ excellent footballers to come to the Dragons. It would seem he isn't quite finished yet. Anyway, he brings a feeling of "can't wait for season 2025/2026/2027/????

That feeling of expecting to lose under previous coaches is well and truly gone.

I wouldn't say its well and truly gone for me, I only direct your attention to the massive hidings we received this year
This team fills me with dread like no other in this world apart from my ex, mother of my children

However, that dread feeling is lessened heading into 2025

Here we have young May giving his spiel on how events leading up to his departure from the Roosters went down. Not good timing wise by Robbo - what 3.00am EST and a couple of days before an international game? Yet, not a word from the Roosters, who probably couldn't care less how it affected May. The Roosters version I don't think will be disclosed officially - the club going in a different direction can mean many things!

But why has May's manager agreed to just let it be and get him signed up with the Tigers? Didn't May have a couple of years more on his contract at the Roosters? Maybe his manager thought it best to go so that he could get a higher salary for his Client which he has achieved through the Tigers. It luckily worked out OK then for May.

"Leadership" !!!!!!!

Under Captain Hunt we were the dumbest and directionless Saints team I have ever watched. Only when Widdop was there did we look ok.

With the signings of Gutho, Cookie and Val, we could not possibly be that dumb ever again.

This alone will remove the inconsistent performances. Smarter players generally make better defenders and attackers. Smarter players means you aren't playing against the tide of momentum for more than your share of the time. Smarter players know how to get possession back, do smart captains challenges, put the ball along the ground in torrential conditions, don't kick the ball dead or out on the full. They don't run their supports off the field be running sideways. So many factors to consider that dumb choices just multiply your chances of losing. When you lose 8 games by less than 6 points (2023), it is a given that your team is just plain dumb.
DCE is the smart play icon. Gutho is also very good. This fills me with confidence. Flanno has said it many times, they went after leaders as we have been starved of them for too long.

In saying all of that maestro1 which I agree, I think Flanno is a really relieved man now that he has not got Hunt as a member of the team. He would be as happy as Larry - whomever that ever was?

Undoubtedly more to the story than either the club or May are prepared to say .

However should that be the case , then May should allow sleeping dogs - or in this instance , roosters lie .
