It depends really on how it was handled. He can set his boundaries and if someone has overstepped them they should apologise and not do it again. He is not meant to feel humiliated at work or stressed.A cutting comment, in jest or not, can be taken in different ways, depending on who’s says it, where and in front of whom.
A good friend of mine will always be forgiven for such a comment. They get the benefit of the doubt, at most I’m short term pissed off.
somebody I dislike will be despised for the same, will be potentially bad mouthed, will be entered on the nasty list…
if it’s a light hearted jest from the coaching staff and he has reacted this way, then there is something more under it all for sure. We don’t know if it’s true inter personnel issues, if the club has been unfair in the treatment of him, or it’s a desire to move, get more money or whatever, but it’s is absolutely not a reason to be absent for 2 weeks, or a reason to change jobs In itself.
If they have addressed it correctly and he is still saying he wants out then he is a dick
On the other hand, if they have swept it under the carpet or minimised how it affected him, then I can understand why he would want to leave.
I am playing devil's advocate here
It is absolutely not good for us and the worst timing.
Again, though he should have bought this up immediately.
So I gave one point each to Molo and the Club as its not certain how they addressed his issues, so I give them both the benefit of the doubt
But because he took so long to bring it up and did so at the worst possible time for the club, then I have deducted his point.
End scores is Club - 1, Molo - 0.
So pull you head in mate and get over it or get out.
