you're making a lot of sense this year ol fela or is ethel ghost writing for you.
I suffered a stroke in late August and was told that some of my brain cells were destroyed- no longer able to relay the necessary signals to the left hand side of my body.

However the good news was that many were actually reinvigorated giving me a higher IQ !

Please Note ! I am not attempting to make light of any stroke as that is certainly not the case . The effects are severe and most unfortunately in many cases life - long . However I have found that one needs to retain a sense of humour to overcome many day to day problems.

Sorry to hear that Gareth and glad you’re doing ok.
Thank you , The Word and Jak and other members.

My biggest problem is that I become so frustrated at not being able to do the most simplest things , such as pulling a belt on my trousers tight . One needs to become adept at not relying too heavily on one’s partner , but to give them some breathing space as the change in my circumstances are also a huge change upon their own .

However with re- habilitation and constant work outs , doing exercise at home I know that I will become more self reliant and less of a burden on others.

He might benefit from being inside a Melbourne system with an elite roster but he will NOT stop doing some of the braindead on field things he has always done. Flanno and previous coaches have alluded to the fact that Zac simply won't take certain pieces of advice or criticism. Bellamy might yell and burst some blood vessels when Lomax has his brain snaps but Lomax won't change.
No one will ever hear me defend Griffin as a coach and I was not happy at the time when he dropped Lomax but maybe this was one of the few things (obviously in hindsight) that Griffin got right. Maybe he was just sick of his piss poor attitude and his refusal to follow a game plan and buy into doing his role within the team. Flanno has said on record that there are certain things that are impossible to talk to Lomax about because he just won't listen.
The cavalier way he has walked out on two clubs and then had the absolute gall to want to renege on his agreement is a sign of his shitty character and selfishness. Parra fans have every right to be pissed off at his cowardly and deceptive behaviour after making a legal agreement as to the terms of his release.
It won't happen but Lomax should be made to honour his agreeement and not be allowed to play in the NRL until 2028 unless its for Parra. Zac made a decision and an agreement. It's disgusting that we live in a world where he will walk out of a team near ther bottom of the ladder, betray that agreement after he realised the consequences of his dumb decision, and then walk straight into one of the leading contenders for the 2026 premiership. But hey, apperently the state of the game has never been better.......
Playing devil's advocate here, the agreement (contract) is Lomax can't play for another NRL team except for Parramatta until the end of his original contract which is end of 2028, so if Lomax is ready to come back to the NRL and play for Parramatta and they cant fit him into their salary cap, is it Zac issue or Parra's issue, if Parramatta can't fit him in, should they then release him of the agreement?? He still has a right to earn a living and if he chooses to do that in the NRL, can they really stop him?

Yeah, hes never made a bad post, not in my memory anyway. Mr consistency.

young Gareth probably has a moderator gig lined up at 360 Unlimited!

I don’t care if @Willow and the LU High Command approve, he’s not getting a release.

He was only released on the basis that he didn’t play nrl for another club for 3 years. And Lomax agreed with that, bound by that.

It’s not the eels problem 360 crashed into a wall. That was always a risk that Lomax should have foreseen and put into his contract. And I imagine if he’d done that, the eels wouldn’t have released him in the first place as 360 wasn’t guaranteed.

When they signed him, they would not have wanted to be left at the alter like SGI and they would have locked him in. They were on notice he was a bit of a wanderer, a hot head, and they took steps to protect themselves.

He’s got no legal right to earn a living, no such legal right exists.

Another option for him is to try and buy his way out, just release him for cash.

He’s probably committed and may have to pay them off, lessening his take home from his next nrl club.

But that’s only a half solution due to cap issues.

He might end up in the union somewhere.

Just some thoughts anyway.

Hang in there. Apparently you could still be the President of the USA, run Venezuela and buy Greenland, but the Dragons are a bigger challenge and we need your improved IQ and full attention.
