Some of the so called boys earn a shot and a chance Head and Timmins local boys made good if you don't give them a chance how do you know. As for Millward agree had more than enough time see ya later.
Haran, Head and Timmins have been around for a few years in other roles especially Head who is now coaching the girls.
They have and are already being given a go
As I said I have reservations they are the right choices.

I want to start seeing some kids with so called potential (and we have plenty) develop into elite 1st grade footballers like the Sam Walkers, Reece Walsh, Payne Haas snd Fifitas and take your pick from Melbourne and become real elite to 1st grade in our team.

The only junior or young person in recent memory that has come in and adapted to 1st grade reasonably young is Cody Ramsay but only just ATM. He is one that may become that real elite star.
Some have improved and done their developing at other clubs to be now solid in Herbert. Host, Saab, who is now becoming a Manly fav and Garrick?.. but not top class.

Blocka, Dufty and Lomax are older and in that solid class ATM and need to go to the next level.

All these commentators blindly keep saying Lomax is on the verge of getting picked for centre for New South Wales just like EA and even Kerr QLD squad
All this is premature and commentators over blowing egos potentially.
these guys can be good in our team and have potential but not that class.

It can’t be all on Hook We need all our staff who are heavily involved with recruitment and development of the junior players and lower grades to step up identifying the right ones and help him bring them on
The next 2-5 years will be telling
Not just SG Ball but our JF and reserve grade need to start killing it and winning comps and our 1st grade much stronger
We are way off and behind at the moment

Heard on 360 last night that Xavier Coates to Melbourne is just about a done deal. Bellamy has even flown to Brisbane to meet with him and it's only a matter of time before he signs. Bellamy would turn him into the next G.I. without a doubt...

WOW...

They lose Addo-Carr for 2022 and they look like replacing him with Coates...

Some Rugby League clubs just run like well oiled machines and others seem like they are run by a bunch of headless chooks...

I wonder which category we fall into...
Definitely, the latter.
But I'd call'm trough
Swilling, parasites.

I agree with giving kids a go but most of our guns haven’t even played or barely played Cup. Sloan and co are straight out of SG ball. Max Feagai has been consistently killing it at cup level and deserved his shot as he was next cab off the rank but the others not so much. Amone seems to have jumped ahead of Clune which could be down to stuff they have seen at training, maybe a physicality that indicates he could handle NRL. If Sloan kills it at NSW cup level in a few weeks if injuries occur he’s an option.
Norman’s stats are terrible, outside the top 50 in many key areas. Another loss this weekend & the pressure will be on to bring in Amone. Kerr is another one who’s place must be hanging by a thread. Fuimaono or Burns can replace him so Mat Feagai can debut. Everyone knows Max & Mat are the future so just give them a go.

Id run with Matt this week. Give Ramsey a spell. If his ribs are busted I wouldn’t risk it. Go a fit bloke to debut alongside his brother. Ramsey is a tough kid, I can’t see him leaving the field for nothing.

Definitely not a rumour but Melbourne beat Souths 50-0 tonight.

the divide is getting greater
I was thinking last week that Souths could win the premiership this year, but after last nights shellacking by the Storm by 50-0 that's it for them. No team has won a G/F if they concede 50 or more points in a game in the same season. Wayne will leave the Bunnies without winning a G/F.

In saying this, the Storm v Penrith G/F is on the cards again.

Souths did have a number of players out including Reynolds and if he is not in their team next year, they won't be as dominant.

I wouldn’t necessarily say that. South’s were very depleted and this year has shown this season will be a case of last man standing. South’s could get all their players back and Storm could have some late season injuries.

Yes FCD I added that in my second post that the Bunnies were depleted and yes, you could be right regarding late season injuries to the Storm. They could suffer with SOO as they should have several representing eitherState.

The only team I can see having the depth is Penrith. That is why we need to scrap hard to stay in touch with the 8 because cone finals anything could happen if we are lucky enough with injuries and a mid season signing or two.

All last night confirmed is there is little depth at NRlL across the board and talk of18 teams is nonsense for the so called TV entertainment product regardless of a split conference

Until we make it worthwhile to play reserve grade and be attached to a first grade team it’ll never work
the only way they could do it is have 18 teams split into first and second division like an EPL to get the product they want Which is nearly what we’re becoming like with the big super teams getting and staying stronger and the and the rest playing catch up

I don’t care if teams get culled for this
I’ll support even a 2nd division team running in a red V jersey with St George name attached. If that is all they offer me and not give a toss about a super league

I think Skeletor has the Rabbits primed as its his last year there

They have the side to do it - no side has really been able to counter their lethal left edge and when Latrell, Reynolds, Murray and others return they will be able to score a lot of points as they have done over the past month.

The key to beating them is to stop that edge -and take them on up the middle and on the fringes

Yeah I agree, definitely not enough talent for another team. We should have culled a few teams back after the super league wars when we had the chance.
