I like that rumour and really sounds too good to be true.
Certainly big wraps on him in charge of the Panthers defence.
3 clubs that have sacked their coaches are all supposedly chasing him and hopefully we are the 4th and the successful winner for his services.

Well like a lot of people in the media, they all have their "juicy" bits that they want to take credit for - if things they say come to fruition. This Ciraldo to the Dragons from Webster is certainly out of the blue because no one else has even thought of this - not even us, well I don't think so anyway.

The end of 2023 is way into the future as far as predictions are concerned. But, maybe this has been an option that the Dragons hierarchy have been exploring to which we are not privy.

I spoke about what the Dragons should be doing in the NRL Games thread - viz

These changes together with trusting and further developing their youth and sprinkled in with those experienced players have done wonders for the clubs. They are following the Penrith formula/parameters.

This is what the Dragons need to do. We cannot get rid of the old guys running the joint but someone has to bite the bullet and change the way we operate and follow the Broncos/Cowboys/Penrith formula to the letter.

This means, new head of football and performance director, new head and assistant coaches, bring in all of the young players into first grade that are mostly ready, keep the better experienced other players we have, get rid of the journeymen and older brigade. Easy, peasy dragonseasy.

Cameron Ciraldo may turn out to be an excellent head coach, but to put our hope in an untried assistant coach from 2023 onwards is a big risk. If the time has come to look for a replacement for Anthony Griffin, then I would like to see Ryan Webb show some leadership and not waste time advertising for a coach.

I would like to see him draw up a list of the top three coaches ranked 1 to 3. Then endeavour to get our joint venture partner (WIN Corporation) on side and in agreement to fund the next head coach and his staff. Ryan Webb should then find out how much the Storm is paying Craig Bellamy (probably the number 1 ranked coach), and offer him 50% more than what he is currently being paid by the Storm to agree to take over at St George Illawarra when his contract expires. If Craig Bellamy cannot be enticed to come on board, Ryan Webb should then move onto the second ranked coach.

I think that Fittler to the Bulldogs was on the cards. Who else would be able to work with Gus. My thought was that Fittler would be announced the Bulldogs coach after the SOO series but I guess Gus can't wait to announce this.

Hey BLM01, I thought that to but as soon as the Dogs coaching position became available, Flanno jumped at the chance to let them know he was keen.

If Saints are smart they appoint Flanno as interim for the rest of the year ASAP and see how he goes. They can still make top 8 and lets be serious, the way they are going they are not going to make it unless they play Warriors and Dogs 3 times in the next few rounds. They are so far behind the top 8 sides it ain't funny. Even Titans made them look like they belong in the wooden spoon battle more than the top 8 fight.

Dont belioeve what you see and hear in the media even from Flanno when asked. He might be giving our club the nudge we need to act.
Yes all conspiracy and no so much wishful thinking but there is more to it. is what I am convinced of.
I am not so sure Mick Potter is out of the equation for the Dogs. Experienced?..but DNA Bulldogs
He was treated poorly by the Tigers and like many coaches took over a rabble

Luckily we don't play them again this year. They won't end up with the spoon I don't think. They haven't got too many "hard" games remaining. Potter i think will improve them for sure especially after their great win last night.
