If Hunt was released for 2023, then we could have the cap to build a great forward pack. Replace Hunt with Kyle Flannagan (hooker) and play Sullivan at halfback.

Most importantly, hire Flannagan as our head coach right now. He will replace the dead wood with good players and have the squad fit and ready to go for next season.

I agree with what you have stated, I have stated before that Shane should be our coach. Most on here don’t like Shane, because of the sharks controversy fair enough.
I remember as a player, hard uncompromising individual that didn’t give up when he played with the Saints. And he hasn’t changed as a Coach, and that’s what we need right now. But as others have said why isn’t he being offered coaching roles?????? Could he have the power/pull, to bring forwards to the club as you say that’s what we need. The back room boys have all the answers or do they. How long have we been floundering for, fitness wise we struggle no line speed at the start or at the end of games I think you would see a huge change if he was in charge, time will tell.

In return, Craig Young becomes chairman of the board and Peter Doust is appointed as a director on the board.

I think your right Possm, hate to say it. You know the other thing we with have problems with, 3rd party deals. You would think WIN Corp would be front and centre doing the deals to attract players. Well that is a Rumour ! This is really becoming a circus. Guess the club has to weigh up what his 1.1 million will buy us for next year as i assume Gus would want him for next season. IMO we really need Hunt next year to transition Bud in. After 2023 i could give a shit as I still believe his body will start serious wear & tear.

I can cop Hunt leaving and playing great at another club for 2-3 years until he retires. But I cannot forgive the club if we lose Bud and he ends up being a top-shelf half playing in another team for the next 8-9 years. Let’s hope our admin gets the best possible outcome of retaining Hunt on 750k and moving him to 9 setting Bud up as our long-term 7.
