As we get older and know who we really are, we worry less about what people think. We have been there, done that and learned a hell of a lot along the way.

I love my Dragons and always have done. I just do not care for the people that are being paid to further develop the Dragons on and off the field but instead look after self-interest through backroom deals.

Next cab of the rank, OUST DOUST!

Love him or hate him, choc was a very big reason we made it to the gf. He was brilliant during the finals run but most people only remember the bombed try in the gf. I still get tingles watching highlights of the prelim vs Scumulla where he single handedly destroyed those muppets and their arrogant supporters who expected to clean us up in that game
Yep sat behind david waite in that game. had a brief man hug and handshake after the game

Doust should have been ousted a very long time ago. He has done more bad deals than good ones in my opinion. Once he goes the place won't know itself.

The Oust Doust thread will need to be re-activated.

Looks like Stephen Crichton will be leaving the Panthers at the end of this year going by the Foxnews report below. I would be well and truly pissed if he ends up at the Bulldogs in 2024 alongside the other Panthers deserters and possibly more of the Panthers juniors who Ciraldo would know about. Bought and not bred is the Bulldogs saying.

100% going to the Bulldogs to be their fullback in 2024

It would be pretty safe to say he will be at Bulldogs. They probably know what the Salary cap will be for 2024 before Penrith and will be able to offer more before any other clubs.

This is another prime example why all juniors should be exempt from the Salary Cap. Crichton has played all his footy there. If you have played from Juniors to say age 25 then you should be exempt and all clubs should be off limits unless the club does not want to keep them hence when the draft should kick in. The club should get first option on their players. Any that are not renewed should be put in the draft. I feel the reason clubs are not pushing for this is they use Salary Cap as an excuse to get rid of dead wood, there may be a reason Panthers don't want Crichton hence he is on the market and they are using Salary Cap as an excuse not to renew.

Rather than have last team pick first. Put all bottom now 9 teams in a barrel and draw for spots to stop teams from tanking games to come last. Show the draw of the order on TV like the do soccer draws for Cups when they televise the draw. Top 8 teams should remain in the order where team 8 picks ahead of 7 etc. If they put this in order then there is no need for Salary Cap at all. Only thing NRL needs to moitor is if teams are being tapped up to leave or force a transfer like what the Dogs and Manly specialise in.

I might get laughed at but my opinion about Crichton is he looks good in that panthers system with the players around him. He is a good player but I don’t think he is a stand out people make him to be. Intercepts are luck and he has had plenty of luck. Take a look at Origin when he played I didn’t even notice he was on the field.

The Dragons won't recruit him because we have too many young up-and-coming outside backs coming through.

But sometimes we need to slot in a proven first-grader rather than gamble on those who have not proven themselves A good mix of local product and proven first-graders is the way to go.

If he goes to the dogs that's fine by me. They have spent heavily in the forwards and if you throw Crichton into the mix then they start to be under pressure keeping players on their books. Aside from the fact they still don't have a recognised half and without that they will continue to struggle regardless

I remember when Hynes signed for Sharks and there were people who scoffed and said let’s see how he goes at halfback, let’s see how he goes outside of the Storm.
Then he won the Daly M and the Sharks finished 2nd on the ladder in his first year.
Chrichton will kill it at dogs.

100% agree
Won’t be worth the money the media and his manager thinks he demands
Did they not struggle a few games at him at fullback?
There is a good reason Penrith have kept who they have and not offered the bigger $$ to him

He will kill it cause he would be their best back
Will he be worth it or bring success?
Outside of JAC their back 5 are not strong
But Yes would be a walk up start in our team

Well that’s a question that will be answered in time. But at least they are trying aren’t they!?
Dogs are at least trying to put themselves in a position to be strong again. Crichton might end up being a poor signing but he may end up being a bloody fantastic signing! Because he is a cracking footballer.
Dragons don’t even try, they sign rejects and we just accept it and say yeah but why would he come to us.
Disgraceful.
