In a couple of years we'll be wondering why the Dragons ever let Bud Sullivan go. Then again, we might buy him back
after the Tiges give him the opportunity to grow his game and Hunt moves off into the sunset. Sullivan's departure sends completely the wrong message to our up and coming local juniors. Penrith's success is built around their junior
pathways system. They give their talented youngsters the opportunity to play in the NRL and are rarely not rewarded.
Local junior, Reuben Garrick was considered not good enough by the Dragons but plays consistently well for Manly and is a point scoring machine.

Perhaps a little harsh on Billy Burns jd as he has been good in both grades this year. Nine gone, including Kerr and Mybe with Musgrove and Sullivan to probably join them. That is 11 names to fill in our Top 30. Flanagan has said he wants one prop, two middle forwards and two outside backs as a priority. Sele is here, now looking at Luke Thompson, Ryan Sutton, a couple of Pommies. Who else does he want. Any talk of Tino has gone dry, he must've knocked us back, too hard a sell for our recruiters. Needed to think outside the box by offering his little brother a contract too. Bummer Tino w'd have been a huge boost to our club.
yep can see your point bgm, his last couple of games have been a lot better than earlier when he got to the Dragons, then again we had him in the wrong position and we all know how our coaches were. I suppose if he has a good showing for the rest of the season and the Dragons dont retain him he will get a gig somewhere, I have to put my faith in Flanno and believe he knows best. Heard he was going after Haas and Tino bigtime as above, that would make possum happy.

I'd say a few things are influencing Flanno on this:
1. Hunt is leaving and so we need an experienced 6 or 7 to partner Ampone.
2. We have some good halves with talent coming through.
3. Sullivan is injury prone.
4. Sullivan at this stage in his career is probably not worth the money he is asking for.
5. Flanno wants to re-start his son's career either as one of our halves or hooker.

Our spine could look very different in 2024:
1. Lomax
6. Sloan
7. K Flannagan
9. Amone

I've seen jellyfish with better spines than that...

We have said if Sullivan goes we pay none of his money. With his injury woes do I think he will get $500,000 any where else, no I don’t. He might well be here next season. I’d rather see Bird go.
What we say and what we do are never the same.
Never believe the b/s that comes out

JWH is the luckiest NRL player this year.
The stuff he has got away with every week without being binned or match suspensions (continual fines only) that others dont is shockingly obviously that the NRL have made a decision (or told by Uncle Nick) they have been too reactive and over the top with charging him in the past..we will balance the scales the other way.
