This makes sense though.. for all the big talk about Mam being locked up with the Broncos @ 750k a season.. its been a month now.. he must surely be seeing what other clubs have to say.. I mean maybe he is just trying to use it as leverage.. but maybe the door isnt as closed as first thought.

With Dearden & Luai off the table, Mam will have a few chasing him including the Dogs & us.. I reckon we would throw 1mil at him.. but I dont think a self-respecting club would throw that Luai level money (1.1-1.2m) @ a young 6 who still has a lot to prove.. not sure if he can play halfback either? If he could hes a different proposition.

We have Shane Millard who started this year. Why would we sign Fulton?. If he was that good Tigers and Manly would of kept him
Seems like its all politics and favours for mates in the background.. sounds awful tbh! The other thing with Fulton, is I reckon he's already fired his shots.. hes used his favours up, i.e. I dont think he would get us better signings in the next 12 months.

But if Millard is focussed on Junior Recruitment (and god knows what Haran does), there probably is room for someone to handle the senior recruitment, it cant all be on Flannos shoulders surely.. even though Flanno is a DIY kinda guy.. that said the way Fulton and Benji couldn't seem to work as a team, isn't a great endorsement.

Scott Fulton is available as a Recruitment Officer. Tigers/Shane Richardson has let him go. He is better than anyone we have.
Once management changed in Tigers, Fulton was shown the door. he also did not have good working relationship with Benji and his mentor Sheens. So head coach in this case prevailed. Anyway, back to us. Flanno has worked with Fulton in Manly so it will all depend on their working relationship.

Not necessarily. Manly had some infighting and Fulton's appointment upset Sheen's and Benji. Fulton's recruitment skills and networks are strong
Apparently one of the reasons Flanagan let Sullivan go was because he didn't want to be held to ransom by Mario Tartak. Seems a bit counter-intuitive to then bring Tartak's number one lackey into the club

Millard is our 1st grade if not all things Recruitment not just Juniors

See above, Wont happen. I dont doubt Fulton has networks as all recruitment managers have to have strong networks..except ours in recent times

Problem is he will stay in Brisbane and they are paying market value. Mam is young and has had 1 good season but not achieved anything yet and why he is worth lower than Deardon and Luai. Imagine Brisbane this year without Reynolds and Walsh.
In saying all that I would prefer him in my side as a potential half more than Deardon and Luai but he aint a 1 mill player..just yet. Continues on the way he finished the year and he soon will be.

Didn't want to be held to ransom by Tartak lol
Then goes out and signs Volkman under Tartak.
Not to mention Bird, Amone, BMM, Sione Finau, Viliami Fifita, and Alec Tuitavake.
We have also just signed Halangahu, Finau Latu amd Cyrus Stanley-Traill to 3 years deals all under Tartak stable.

That Shane Richardson guy at the Tigers doesn't muck around does he? He terminates Scott Fulton and he says that there will be more changes to be done in the next 30-40 days. He wants the club to be more commercially viable, putting in more structures for the betterment of long term operations and different ways of doing things in football.

The Tigers will be on a massive improve with him at the helm and I can see them well ahead of the Dragons in terms of maintaining good results over many years.

I was hoping that we could have lured Richardson to the Dragons more than 6 months ago when the Dragons sacked Griffin and had Ryles targeted as our head coach (thank goodness that didn't happen) because I think that our current and future squad would definitely be much better with Richo at the club. I'm sure that the likes of Haran and Millward would have gone.

Whether or not Richo was considered by the Board, the opportunity has now been lost. Maybe though, once Richo completes his interim time at the Tigers, we could snag him??

I think the board decided that they didn't need him when they signed Flanagan. Millard has been added too in recruitment.

Mam is one of those great individual players who just knows how to read the game and score tries, valuable in most teams. In our team he likely wouldn't get a lot of the opportunities he gets at the Broncs with their forward pack giving him space and Walsh and Reynolds giving him quality ball. He's a very good running 5/8 but doesn't do much kicking. I'd take him as a replacement for Hunt in 2025 and try to find him a good halfback to play with - maybe Kyle unless we could find someone better.
