I see Politis and Penn are already sniffing around to try and make their team a permanent selection for the Vegas teams for the next 4 years. At 4 teams a year for 5 years there is obviously the opportunity for all of the current teams to experience the Vegas trip - there may even be 20 teams in the NRL by then! You've had your turn Nick and Sean. Shut up and go away.
Mate who cares they think it was a success well I’m pretty sure it was just a week in Vegas. The crowd was made up of Aussie supporters who enjoyed a week there and the rest was mainly freebies although V’landys will never devulge the truth. The tv coverage over there was minimal and when live the nrl was kicked off in preference to college basketball.
It was a sideshow event at best.

I initially thought it was a gimmicky notion and, knowing Vlandys, a cynical attempt to rope in some more gambling revenue (which it undoubtedly was). But the full-on cynicism faded while absorbing the event yesterday. I don't care what the Americans think necessarily, I just liked that it made the season opener into a big glittery event - rather than just the first Thursday night game of the year. It felt like a big deal. Everyone I encountered was talking about it. I enjoyed it... hope the Red V gets a crack at it at some stage

Yes it was all that and yes it would be good to have a week in Vegas supporting the red v😊
And we can just keep the whole thing in its perspective like magic round

good value with upside signing

Its all up to him now he is a team where he could tie down a spot in the 17

I am so suspicious of these signings by the Bulldogs. They should be known as the Bullshits. Without making a slur on where it is coming from and how the money is paid to these players, surely they must have reached the maximum amount of their cap well before now and their squad numbers of 30 reached ages ago? How in hell do they do it?

It has been said that the coffers at the Dragons are "overflowing" with funds (well maybe we have some left) and that we have reached our limit on the total number of guys of 30. Do we not want some better guys than what we have in our squad and if so, why haven't we paid some off so that we can get these "better" ones?

It just shows how brutal Phil Gould has been with his players. Will they be wondering if they are the next ones to be kicked out if they eff up?

Am I right with my count of the number of players in the Bulldogs squad being 31 in the list below?

Surely that isn't right and if so, they must be looking at getting rid of someone?

to be fair, some of these minor guys contracts (such as Corey Allan being removed for 2024) fall between the cracks, they arent really publicised and zero tackle for example still has him here for 2024. I'm sure something similar would have happened at the dogs (only dodgier no doubt).
