I hope someone chases a few of our poisoned pawns (Bird, Milo, Lawrie) then we sacrifice our Queen (Hunt) and win with a superior end game strategy.

Wouldnt be surprised if Holmes manager was on the phone first thing this morning attempting to close a deal with the Dragons immediately .. esp after Katoni Staggs gave him an absolute bath last night ..
Mit make a few a tad nervous , if a deal hadnt been finalised on Thurs
Staggs too has a player option in his favour from Nov , so his current top form wouldnt have gone unnoticed by many

He's been struggling in defence all year according to fan/media accounts... It might be the piece that gets him here...

Tbh we just can't keep missing talent.. We can't.. We can't keep relying on budget filler players, we need some class both on the field and for attracting other class players off the back.

Even if Holmes did end up on the wing or fullback + being our goalkicker it's all good imo.. But he would start @ctr, his spot to lose, and we see if Buchanan comes on in 2026.

We have to get some class ahead of the 2025 season though, I think Flanno has squeezed everything out of much of our roster, and the talent is not elite enough to help us get to that next level.

Its interesting because they do use him as a 14, but then Wishart is surely a better 14.. Faalago has a big long contract though.. would love him here but seems too popular a fish for us to catch? Im quite jaded on who we can attract I think..

Probably is But this Clause gives us a chance , and the word is "he will go"

No, we won't win all remaining games, but I don't think the teams we are competing against will either.

There is a possibility of us making the finals will come down to our last game against the Raiders.

do the ladder predictor and its always been 32pts for us to make the 8.. for and against wont be relavent, you have to remember the teams all play eachother.

We can lose 1 more, but we really need to approach every game as a must-win now.... all 4 sides are dangerous.. were likely to fall over against the sharks or maybe parra... hopefully not the titans..

The semis are now a bridge too far I am afraid . The boys beat the best a week earlier and had everything to play for , yet the performance was not up to scratch against another well drilled team .

Sad for all concerned , the players , fans and coach who must had thought that his charges had turned the corner.
