agree hence saying we may want to keep Glover on as a TT

but I would need to see a significant kicking game improvement by Glover in 2025 NSW Cup

LKT looked smooth on the weekend as a half. Flano said in his pre game chat he really doesn't see a difference between a few 6 and 7 ie he said "number on their back only". Obviously different roles but doesn't matter what number u where.

Im intrigued if LKT sneaks up on us part way through 2025 NSW Cup season and starts becoming a better organiser to compliment his natural attacking game going to the line.
I mean i think Glover would be a NSW Cup only contract if he stayed.. this probably all depends if we can find better over the off-season, im just so unsure if Flanno will want to get a decent 7 into our roster for 2025.. or is he backing Hunt to go for 12 more months.... and then he has all year to REALLY focus on someone bigger for 2026.

LKT hasnt got a massive boot either, but its 'ok'... like he doesnt kick very often anyway, and he doesnt look like a talkative high-energy organising type dude.. sometimes looks like hes asleep (lets say 'chilled') in the line.. then suddenly the ball comes and he springs into gear.. but hes got a long way to go, its why i dont mind him playing fullback, it forces him to get involved all the time, which is just accelerating development I think.

With Flannos 6&7 comments.. I think its his solution to keep Hunt with a 7 on his back for perceptions sake, but actually try to get Hunt into more of a running 6 role as often as possible.. but still do the kicking it seems.. its a valid point ofcourse.. playing 1 side each.. but someones gonna have to do the organising.. and someones gonna have to do the kicking.. and thats why I dont think LKT can move up a grade without a legit 7 to handle the rest.

Yeah Rev LKT doesn't kick often, but I've noticed that when he does, his kicks are precise and well targeted which I like. I haven't seen enough of his long kicking to really know much but I wish we kept onto herring as well for his boot

I dont think we are out of the race with Corey, so what he was spotted at bulldogs club, the bloke has to explore his options. Heilum Luki flew down and toured our facilities and we didnt end up getting him. Dogs must be near their cap you would think (surely) and he is too big a risk to punt anyone good to get him over the line.
He will be us I am now 99% or a bit less sure. That could be in case by his manager to see if more $$$ are out there than we offered

The big rumour of the day isn't a rumour anymore. Dragon David has quit following the NRL. No more from now.

All the best guys. Take care of yourselves and your families. I have had enough of his total bullshit.
Don't leave us DD. We all love reading your posts, mate. Rugby league is a cruel f**king game but the Dragons are on the up. We'll get there soon enough mate, irrespective of what Abdo, V'Landys, and the MRC think of us. As far as I'm concerned they can all go and get f**ked.

Off the beaten track slightly , however I am so surprised about the comments made by 9’s premier commentator none other than Greg Alexander.

He believes that his fabulous Penrith team would had won at least 10 premierships if they were around in the golden era of the mighty Saints .

Gregory a word of advice for you - move that complimentary bottle of ‘ Mountain Dew ‘ that they give you in the broadcaster’s box away from your nose as you have been inhaling far too many of those little fizzy bubbles - I am afraid that they have affected your grey matter somewhat .

The Dragons of those years were unbeatable and were in a class of their own - you cannot seriously compare the two teams .

Come back to us when - and only when , your mob of hillbillies have won 11 consecutive premiership trophies .

Alexander has truly lost the plot:

Gasnier, Raper, Langlands, Smith, King and a pack of forwards that would have mercilessly reduced Penrith to dust

You and me are soul brothers DD. I find myself mostly agreeing with your comments and like you, I too am frustrated at how we can't seem to pull a trick. We seem to be similar vintage so we know how great it is when our Dragons do well. I'd encourage you to stick with them for all the reasons we all know. I hope to see you post again, cause I know I'll need you to do the same for me when I get down like you appear to be now.
We love our Dragons. It's in our DNA.
Hope to see your posts soon my friend!

I think Alexander meant that if the salary cap did not exists Penrith can win 10 in a row, not that they are better than the Saints teams of 56-66 and I agree with him. Penrith are awesome and it is sad that they have to lose players they brought up to grade like Stephen Crichton, Lenui, Luai, Kikau, Korosai, Fisher-Harris. If they had no cap on juniors then all teams will follow Penrith and produce their own, instead we have teams taking all their gun players. Salary cap is a joke.

Hi Guys

I started my goodbye on the Rumours thread so I think the best thing for me to do is try and rekindle my love of this Forum by posting my return on this thread. The two day cooling off period has finished.

Well you all could see how frustrated I was mainly because the bloomin' judiciary was so harsh with Kyle's biting charge and the person who caused it got off Scott free. I still am not happy with the outcome and of course it is bleeding obvious that Kyle would be very unhappy as well but now that the decision was made that is the end of it and we can now look forward to better things happening at the club and to see how the team will go in the remaining games with a "new" 5/8th.

I am sorry that I might have upset you lot and I am so appreciative of your comments. They truly touched my heart and how could I not do anything else but resume my seat in this great Forum.

Good things are happening and the future will be brighter for the Dragons. 2024 so far has been quite successful and given who we have playing for us, we have done quite OK.

New signings for us to look forward to and the New Year year will be a greater one for us.

Cheers All.

Now I can "like, wow, laugh and make comments" on the posts that you have all made since I got lost in disappointment land.
