No idea in my opinion, 2 players in the team that have been told they can go elsewhere for starters.

DRAGONS
Predicted team
: 1. Tyrell Sloan 2. Christian Tuipulotu 3. Valentine Holmes 4. Moses Suli 5. Mikaela Ravalawa 6. Kyle Flanagan 7. Ben Hunt 8. Francis Molo 9. Damien Cook 10. Jack de Belin 11. Luciano Leilua 12. Jaydn Su’A 13. Blake Lawrie 14. Jacob Liddle 15. Hame Sele 16. Raymond Faitala-Mariner 17. Ryan Couchman
Analysis: There are doubts around Tyrell Sloan’s position at fullback with the club reportedly chasing Clint Gutherson to fill the No.1 role, but until they do he will be the fullback. Another option is star recruit Valentine Holmes, but he will be needed in the centres. Zac Lomax departs for the Dragons, with Christian Tuipulotu and Mikaela Ravalawa likely to be the wing pairing. Holmes and Moses Suli are set to form a new centre pairing for the next three seasons after Jack Bird’s shift to the Tigers. Kyle Flanagan returns from suspension for biting at No.6 with Ben Hunt at No.7 unless he is successful in negotiating a release to join an NRL rival, after being linked to the Bulldogs and a return to Queensland. Francis Molo and Jack de Belin will start in the front row, with star recruit Damien Cook at hooker. The second row of Luciano Leilua and Jaydn Su’A picks itself with Blake Lawrie at lock. The bench utility will be Jacob Liddle after Cook’s arrival, with Hame Sele, Raymond Faitala-Mariner and Ryan Couchman rounding out the bench.

Fair dinkum what idiot at Fox wrote this garbage?? Hilariously bad.

So looks like Shane Millard must have recovered from his supposed illness. He is part of the coaching staff for Fiji in the upcoming Pacific Championships.

Seriously what a dud signing this guy was, I hope they just piss him off and get someone in there that can actually help Flanno to recruit.
Is he still with us ? and if he is whats he doing as part of the coaching staff for Fiji !!! He should be sorting stuff out at the Dragons, god knows we need it right now.

Nothing more than the below update re Holmes ?

“Valentine Holmes off late after what could’ve been seen as a non-contact injury - but contact mechanism occurred 8 minutes earlier when scoring. Knee to outer calf brings main concern for significant contusion/cork, but worst case there could be an underlying fibula fracture.”

Thanks guys for the answer, well I will apologise to Gutho if I have been crucifying him unwarranted.
No use jumping to conclusions. As BLM01 has said, nothing can be confirmed until 1 Nov and then there is the 10 day cooling off if applicable. Some players have been approached by Flanno and maybe his "aides" but that is all that can be done I suppose until that crucial date.

I guess now that Flanno has started talks with both JAC and Gutho, it will get things rolling and as soon as 1 Nov arrives, it will be pen to paper. So timing is the thing.
