He is also likely to captain the club

If Gutho doesn’t agree before November 1 it’s not a bad thing really we have the money to take his full contract as it sits but if it goes to November 1 Parramatta will have to pay his first month of wages which means we would get him slightly cheaper. I don’t expect that to happen i am expecting an announcement tomorrow prior to Nov 1

Would be ace if Parra make the call on the release tomorrow and get it done pre Nov 1.. im sure Gutho would be happy with that also, if it was to drag on for weeks or a month as flanno mentioned.. that opens up other conversations we could potentially be having (not that I think we are looking at any other fullbacks).

Also frees up cash for the Eels to go to market.. but tbf most of the Nov 1 targets (especially paps which they r keen on) are only for 2026.

Of course they wont miss him who did they give up for Lomax ? This will be a similar deal. The only person they will piss off if they drag this out is Gutho, Flanno has played this superbly.

I'm assuming our next Captain no matter who it is wont do some of things our last one did. I would still like possibly Sua to be co-captain, its weird having a player come into the side that has never had anything to do with the Dragons and automatically be captain. I'm sure even if he isnt captain he will be able to show his leadership qualities. Cmon Gutho pull the trigger mate !!!
