Over to you now Sloan, learn and take over when Gutho is injured or finally leaves.

The beauty of Gutho is his versatility. Sloane will get his chance and may well come out a tougher player.

Injuries, mid game management, suspensions. Gutho can play FB, in the halves, centre of even at lock. I've watched him over the years and on field he is calling the shots from the back and is very vocal.

You can't train instinct and he's a fierce competitor. A real important singing for us in my opinion. Just hope it's done.

Would rly like to get some official announcements on Gutho, Lodge, Atkinson.. whoever we are signing.. get some positive media momentum happening (right now we are picked as spooners)... some good press will really help with any discussions to potential forwards or 2026 prospects..

This roster is not great, but 2 or 3 of the above (2 of them spine players) and its a whole new ballgame.. Flanno has shown he can coach.

You do realise there is way more to a supposedly marquee halfback's game than a statistic like this that is overused and means far less then people think it does?
Can you get back to us with the number of field goals he's kicked for us? I'll give you a hint - Adam Reynolds kicked two more field goals in one game in our SF in 2018 than Hunt has kicked in his whole career. What about statistics on game management? Kicking game? Clutch plays? You see all of these are FAR more important than the "try assists" stat that lazy journalists and ill-informed fans whip out to defend Hunt when they're foolishly describing him as "our best player".
Amazes me that people keep using a stat like this that covers a multitude of Hunt's glaring weaknesses.

He’s a huge upgrade on what are truly mere players in the squad at the moment.

He’s a better centre than Moses when he’s fit. A smarter player. Has a lot of skill and smarts.
