Flanno appears to be building a team with lots of overlap. Players who can play well in multiple positions.This is something Canterbury have also done the last couple of years.

I suppose part of the idea is to make the team resistant to injuries. And ofc, lots of competition for positions and no way "important" or "key" players can get big headed and blackmail the team (which we are familiar with.)

Just need a slot for JAC. We moved on a lot of players, so the cap space is ample. We’ve come out in front with Lomax and Hunts replacements.

Hunt’s reportedly happy to remain in NSW, with his family wanting to remain in Sydney if he receives a deal that he’s happy to accept.

We can blame Griffin for Lomax. The damage Griffin did to the Saints was incredible. A better coach would have put Hunt in place, moved heaven and earth to keep the leaders in McInness & Sims and had more control over his players with no BBQ's during covid. He was a complete fool who destroyed the Dragons to make it all about him and Hunt and brought in all his mates from Qld and hasbeens. Lomax wanted to leave last season because of Griffin which by then was too late as decision was made and Parra pounced. They were talking to him from last year filling his head with all these promises.

SFlanno will be the best signing Saints have made since Bennet left. He will bring the team back up to be a finals contender for years to come.

Was listening to an interview with Aaron Woods last week and he said Griffin was the worst coach he's ever had. Said communication was non existent and on the day of the captains run he was more interested in the BBQ than the training. I was no fan of the Woods signing in the first place but he said Griffin didn't even have the guts to talk to him to tell him he'd been swapped for 2 Manly players, he was too busy stuffing his face with Chinese food sitting next to Haran at the Taj. He found out afterwards from his manager.
Rings true with the story from Lomax that Griffin gave him zero feedback when he dropped him.

Griffin was a monumental disaster and we should never forget the incompetence and neglect the board showed by re-hiring Griffin, let alone the long term damage to the club that was caused.

Ive heard of Cody Ramsay before, my dad told me he was a great young fullback that developed hes game really well (Im pretty sure), what does everyone else think? he seems like he has some skill but what do you guys think? and if he comes back would he slot into the team anywhere?
