He was the backup at Titans to Tanah Boyd who was the backup to Foran. And now he is off contract and without a club.Weaver is off contract too. Very highly touted

Not my preferred solution by maybe Flanno will put Gutho in the halves with Kyle with Sloan/Allen/Holmes at fullback for 2025.
Bulldogs going to try and lure Ryan Papenhuysen to sign up on big dollars. The Storm want to keep him but maybe not able to match the Dogs offer. The Dogs already have Connor Tracey and Blake Taaffe.
The Dogs are continuing to try and buy a premiership. Why are they in our competition, the bastards?

Loko-pasifiki Tonga is a back up to a back up of Lawrie. What’s your point? He was the backup at Titans to Tanah Boyd who was the backup to Foran. And now he is off contract and without a club.
Dogs will win a comp before too long, with Gould at the helm it will happen. He’s very good at his job.Gould at work.
LPT is not a back-up. He has not even played NRL yet. And he has not been cut by Saints, but I am certain that if he were cut, there would be at least 15 other clubs after him by breakfast the next day.Loko-pasifiki Tonga is a back up to a back up of Lawrie. What’s your point?
By mid season Tonga will be on the bench and Lawrie will be in KOE CupLoko-pasifiki Tonga is a back up to a back up of Lawrie. What’s your point?
Finally some common senseGutho will be FB as Flanno said in his presser.
He may shift from time to time, but he will be our FB.
The recruitment of May and Atkinson would put the Dragons on track to compete well against the top 4 clubs. Finally some common sense
Gutho Here to play FB
Cookie Here to play Hooker/Dummy Half
Holmes ...Here to play Centre
Gutho may occasionally float about similar to Teddy and Tom
Cookie ...As variety , may fall into an occasional first receiver role But wont be playing 6
Holmes To partner Suli in Centres ,,Again if injuries play a part maybe be moved to One
Hopefully Flanno has earmarked a Half but is being Coy .
Starting to think it will be Illias but is sweating on Atkinson or Wishart , as the Storm are struggling to hold onto Paps .
Constant bickering/in fighting at the Tiges still give s us a chance at nabbing May
Everyone sitting back and waiting patiently for dominos to fall
Please correct me if I’m wrong but if you’re in the top 30, not playing nrl, is that not the very definition of a backup? I’ve watched a whole bunch of junior rugby league. Youngsters have excited me from the day I became a fan and Tom weaver can play rugby league. He’s just small, much like jt who was another unwanted half. A players potential is not determined by contract status. Many “unwanted” players are the stars of our game today, Paps included, and liddle was one of our best last yearLPT is not a back-up. He has not even played NRL yet. And he has not been cut by Saints, but I am certain that if he were cut, there would be at least 15 other clubs after him by breakfast the next day.
The Titans have cut the uninjured Weaver and he has had no other offers. That is not much of a recommendation.
Alright, you got me. I was wrong and I now look forward to the outcome of the fierce bidding war for Weaver's services that I now understand is certainly going on behind the scenes between the major clubs. Please correct me if I’m wrong but if you’re in the top 30, not playing nrl, is that not the very definition of a backup? No intelligent or related argument, resort to sarcasm, niceAlright, you got me. I was wrong and I now look forward to the outcome of the fierce bidding war for Weaver's services that I now understand is certainly going on behind the scenes between the major clubs.
If I had known you were related to him, I wouldn't have commented. No intelligent or related argument, resort to sarcasm, nice
I suggested an off contract half for a team that is desperate for one, and is realistically Buckleys of getting a good one, in an open forum. I’m not the biggest fan of weaver but since you like to shoot suggestions down I presented some arguments for. Who’s your choice of half? Must be a relative too since you’d like to see them at the clubIf I had known you were related to him, I wouldn't have commented.
The situation is bad. That means that we appear to have no really good choices, altho, who knows, maybe Flanno has someone in mind. So the goal is to keep trying to get a quality 2026 half while at the same time trying to stop 2025 being a disaster that sends us back below 12 wins and damages the club's morale.I suggested an off contract half for a team that is desperate for one, and is realistically Buckleys of getting a good one, in an open forum. Rewind to a couple of weeks back, and Flanagan said he received 6/7 phone calls from player managers saying they had halves interested in taking Hunt's number 7 jersey.LPT is not a back-up. I guess the best choice is Kyle + Douehi with LKT as cover for both. Douehi is a good footballer with an injury history. But he came back last year and at 350k is cheap. If these three can make it through 2025 healthy, then it is a big step forward in developing LKT while a healthy Douehi is a genuine utility player who is worth keeping.
If Douehi blows another knee, 5/8 will be LKT and Gutho. Yeh, that is bad.
As for Ilias, you can visit the Souths forum and see what they think. They do not rate him.
And I have not mentioned Sexton bcs he won't leave the dogs unless Hunt goes there.
