I

I’ve been putting off taking melatonin- did it take long to work or did it work straight away?
Two answers;
1. I take it about 8.30 pm, read for an hour, then I feel like sleeping. I fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow. Used to take at least 30 frustrating mins to fall asleep. And the sleep quality is deep and refreshing.

2. I had improved sleep from the first time I took it. The improvements in my memory - which are absolutely real - kicked in noticeably after about two or three months.

Note that I am taking 40mg each night to get this result with my memory.

As an example of the effects on my memory, I live in Indonesia so I read Indonesian books sometimes but it is frustrating bcs I often have to look up words that I have looked up dozens of times before. And then ten minutes after looking up the word, I have forgotten it again. Annoying.

But since starting the melatonin my memory for this has improved markedly. Last night I read an Enid Blyton young adult's book, about 120 pages, without looking up a single word. Previously, I was looking up a word every page. So this stuff does work.

well speaking from experience after 53 years of marriage, lawrie should take every opportunity he can get to have a break from the boss/wife
"don’t think Lawrie will want to head to England after being married recently".

Me thinks not. Note last word in above post.

Ryles applied for a job that our BOD saw fit to interview D Y for ffs what does that tell you for a start. Don’t forget they punted Hornby and he hasn’t been herd of since but good old Deano just keeps on turning up.

Ryles turns us down as conditions he requested were obviously turned down.

He refused to have his hands tied by an incompetent interfering BOD’s which is the very thing we need from our coach aka Bennett.

S F gets the job and we automatically get D Y and S F then signs K F ffs and not only that he gets a saloon passage into the halves.

Ryles goes to Parramatta and his hands are not tied and he lives or dies on his own reconnaissance which is what he wanted from us.

Do you really think if Ryles was with us and he had his own way that D Y or K F would be part of the group?

As per usual this place finds away to unload on a former player because he wouldn’t put up with our shit or conform to allow nepotism to flourish.
There was an article about 2 weeks ago where Ryles is quoted saying he didn’t sign with us because the Storm contacted him and told him not to, that Bellamy only had a year before retiring and he would be in the prime position to take over.

There was nothing said about him having conditions that SGI were not going to meet.

BTW I was very disappointed that Ryles ditched us, but I believe we got lucky getting SF as coach. I have no interest in death riding Rylesy, he was a storied player for us.

I suspect that is a Polite way of keeping the door open

If not mistaken earlier articles indicated Ryles wanted certain things and didn’t get them.

Perhaps, but he did then sign on as an Assistant at the Storm and applied for the Parra job when Bellamy officially signed on again.
That’s true but do people truly believe that he was all but signed with us and walked away at 1 minute to midnight on the premise that he might and no guarantees given get Bellamy’s job?

I am sure he did his homework and rang the most knowledgeable people in the game and got unfavourable intel then baulked.

Well we know the Storm footy chief (can’t think of his name) contacted him,
we don’t know what else was said. Or, who else contacted him.

Good luck to him. I hope he does well, just as long as he doesn’t win a comp before we do.

Yes because a prudent or smart person would not do that before applying and basically accept the job (wasting their own time) before getting cold feet
He left us at the altar.. why?
Melb Storm that’s why

On saying that Bellamy signed early on this year
But I never saw Ryles once working as an assistant this year in the box side line or at training videos etc
Unless I am wrong from this year he might if been the Phantom assistant

Surely you can understand the reason why some Saints fans are dirty on Ryles is purely because he turned his back on the club he played for and they support. The club needed him more than ever and he turned his back on them and joined Parra. Saints offered him the head coaching role FFS and said no.

Anyway, they have the same respect for Ryles like he seems to have for same for Saints. Not much.
Nothing personal but how can I respect Ryles as a coach when he has coached no-one as HC alone

Give me a proven, premiership winning coach over a rookie, any rookie for that matter, any day of the week.

However it all transpired, I am more than happy with the outcome...

And that’s ok

I get pissed off when some posters bag out someone like Ryles and the bag out anyone who rates him and then at the end of it wish him bad luck and hope he fails.

I’d have more respect for their posts if they didn’t rely on bad luck and wishes.

Dean Young 100% could have been here with Ryles, they did play together.
