You guys do remember that when the Sharks were under the Flanges tenor every other teams supporters thought we were a bunch of kents?
They were right.
Are you prepared for that hate? It does go with the territory.
The twist in that is us Sharkies will never hate Flanno. What a complexed situation.
Nah mate, they hated you because you were the sharks, not because of Flanno, they hate you now as well!

In all seriousness @Crush and @Mojo
as someone who has studied Flannos game plans for years i reckon for the first half of the 25 season will go like this:
Illias and Flanju to direct the game plan from your goal line until the oppositions 40m mark. After that he will have Gutho and Cookie putting a little edge in the attack. They will direct it towards Suli and Val. If Illias' kicking and general play adds some spark (and I have seen him beat my team with it) then that will be how the plan works out. Be prepared for a lot of kicking high to the opposition corners.
The late great Mr.Angry called it "Flanno Ball", and he was correct.
The "sparks" for scoring will be dependent on Gutho and Cook, and he'll be hoping Illias can add to it.
Your signings are good, but they aren't Maloney, Ennis, Lewis, Barba, Prior, Fifita, good.
I do honestly think if injuries don't come down hard you'll be in that lower 8 position.
Flanju is a Townsend clone, and not many of us really like the Chad.

Yes. I expect the variations / interchanges around Cook/Liddle and Gutho/Sloane and attack on both sides of the ruck to deliver some surprises.

For so long, yes.
I'll tell you what the Flange needs out of some of his better players, and he has said this recently even though us Sharks supporters knew it the whole time, he needs his top tier players to take control of a game and out of his scope.
That's why we all know that Jimmy Maloney was the main key to our Premiership win. Not just the GF but the whole season.
He provided something that Flannos game plan couldn't add.
Before Jimmy came on board he had Jeff Robson and Todd Carney. Carney had "it" but he also had his demons to contend with.
People pay out Jeff Ribson but he was very solid and gave the direction that Flanno wanted.
Chad took over Robson's role, and then Maloney came in.
Hence why Flanno has been vocal about Daniel Atkinson being his number one target.
He (Flanno) is staying true to his plan.

I can't think of a decent thread for this:

I saw the architectural drawings for the Centre of Excellence a couple of weeks ago and I was surprised by the fact that it seems to be just a purpose built office building with a gym near the stadium - with Uni affiliations.

I can't resist the thought that part of the Taj could easily be re-purposed / renovated so that StGI could have two CoE's - one in the Gong and one in Kogarah, with the Gong being primarily for the lower grades / nursery etc. and Kogarah being for the top grade.

No more commute for 1st grade training and we could be the first club with 2 CoE's - even more specialised than any other club. The sports scientists can travel from the Gong to Kogarah as needed, surely.

What do you reckon?
There used to be a gym at the Taj years ago. Not sure if there still is or not, but yes there is a lot of wasted space there

Maloney was the secret sauce in every side he played for
