Contrary to most people's opinion on here, I think he would be a big loss. Ok he hasn't blown the lights out for us, but he has been a big physical presence in the middle of the park for a number of years. We need these seasoned professionals to help us take our time bringing on the large number of young forwards in the squad this year.
I don't think his contract is ridiculously high in the current market.
Flanagan is usually quite vocal in the media, this time he's said nothing so it looks like he's been side-swiped by this one the same as we have, which means probably no replacement lined up.
Given this was already our weak spot, and whether you like him or not, Molo has been fairly consistent compared to our other middles, this is a real setback for us.
I'm usually pretty optimistic but this one has knocked me a bit. I'm still hoping they can help him work through his issues and get back on the training field, but not looking good.
