You guys can’t seriously be pondering klemmer? He is absolutely useless. I think flano has his eyes set a bit higher than that. Only way you could possible even consider it is if it was a one year deal
That’s my first take as well. I think the game has passed him by. I’m talking about effectiveness- not stats.

Ryles-like penalty magnet too. Loses his cool.

If Flanno thinks he can do something with him, then I’d back it. Horse Weyman was thought of similarly 16 years ago.

Klemmer's alright, sign him for a year or even two, he's only just turned 31, not so old for a prop these days. He had a terrible year last year, like all his team mates under the hapless coaching of Benji and his stats back that up if nothing else. I reckon Flanno can get him back up and firing and even if it's it's only back to his 2023 level he still offers more than Lawrie, FMolo, Guler or Sele, he's a class above any of those blokes. Great role model for the young'ns as well, passion and aggression.

Not that I'm terribly enthused about it but one year of Klemmer would still be of far greater benefit to our forward pack than one year of Lawrie. And if it helps move Molo on then ok.
Flanno gives him 4 instructions. 1. catch the ball 2. run hard. 3 make your tackles. 4. don't give away penalties.

Klemmer for a year or 2 isn't a bad move, with his experience it's definitely a Flanno type signing. Just seen it's apparently a done deal and immediate, it's from daily tele so won't post because it's behind a paywall

Wests must be picking up the tab, but do we even have a slot open? It is Sharon Woods 2.0.

Who knows but it's Flannos decision at the end of the day so I'll back him. Experience is invaluable especially with our young guns coming through. Guess it's not 100% official until the club announcement

It'll be 1 or 2 years for Klemmer.. look ill be honest I havent watched him in years, but its just over a week to the season, and some of the other names being tossed around to replace Frank are far far far far far far worse...

In the team that came last in 2024, his stats were:
o 101m per game (9.8m per run)
o 23 tackles per game (96% effiency)

I have no doubt some stats are padded.. but thats not bad in the team coming last.. its certainly better than our other options.. and were losing a tonne of old forwards at the end of the year, Guler/Sele could well be our only experienced props come 2026.... so im perfectly happy if Flanno needs to add a year to the contract.
