While Klemmer is past his best, these are the types of players you are going to pick up a couple of weeks out from the start of the season. No topliner is moving clubs this late unless there is some big bust up with the coach or major incident and they move them on. If Klemmer does come, let's hope Flanno can get the best out of him, whatever is remaining.

It'll be 1 or 2 years for Klemmer.. look ill be honest I havent watched him in years, but its just over a week to the season, and some of the other names being tossed around to replace Frank are far far far far far far worse...

In the team that came last in 2024, his stats were:
o 101m per game (9.8m per run)
o 23 tackles per game (96% effiency)

I have no doubt some stats are padded.. but thats not bad in the team coming last.. its certainly better than our other options.. and were losing a tonne of old forwards at the end of the year, Guler/Sele could well be our only experienced props come 2026.... so im perfectly happy if Flanno needs to add a year to the contract.

His stats for the year before the messiah Benji Marshall took over were;
139mtrs a game
25 tackles a game - actually 610 tackles, 7 misses (98.8% efficiency)
21 Off-loads,
and those stats were down on his years at Newi.

If this passes muster, I'll be over the moon, this is a very good signing.

The two main positive points IF Klemmer joins the Red V :
1 Tigers will be covering majority of his " Freight "
2 Incentive .. Another player that will be mad keen to prove his former Coaching Staff and Club wrong by playing out of his skin for his new Club ..
Has the fear factor about him when 100% switched on ......................

He doesn’t miss games either.

Change is as good as a holiday.

Matty Prior was considered a washed lock /second rower when he went Cronulla. Was close enough to their best in 2016.

Horse Weyman. Vaughan. Guler?

Apologies I’ve heard it’s a one year deal , club still going hard for Hazelton
Can always offer Klemmer the same clause for next year as Tigers did. Won’t cost the farm.

All he’s got to do would be to stay injury free and play decent footy and he can activate the clause. He’d be our number 1 or 2 prop all year, so basically a lay down if he doesn’t get injured.

I mean Blake hasn't played for Australia or his state and probably never will.. they aren't even remotely similiar

I mean Jack Bird did and you all laughed at us for signing him (and btw i still hate it)

Klemmers ok, Molos ok, both are mid range props. For any decent team they're your 3rd or 4th best and coming off the bench. Neither are the type of player to change a teams season one way or another.

Haven't we filled our Top 30 by adding Guhler? Assuming we can only sign him if and when Molo is released right?

If so, this would be a decent signing as I'm guessing he'd come cheap but also we'd be able to finally get rid of Molo, put that saga behind us and free up some cap space for another big signing.

At least he is a big body and can help Guhler, who I thought was getting hit pretty hard against easts. Very tough doing the middle job without another big guy to share the load.
