So Frank , to be frank, is the “decent” one but isn’t half the Molo Michael is, especially when it comes to giving a lift to his brother, except when it comes to getting him a contract he’s now trying to get out of… same as he is, except he expects an indecent amount of money to do the right thing. Mick was running off the back fence in the trials.. He was giving it everything he had, and he has footwork too as he has teased us with over the years...

His issue is physically he is much smaller than nrl forwards.. But I definitely think a super league team could make use of him (Lawrie too imo), mick won't be on much money.. But.. Still gotta get a deal done, and fast if we want klemmer.

Lawrie was terrible in 2024, but was descent in 2023. I just hope he improves this year. I think he has the potential, but time will tell. If he was un signed I would not sign him, but we are stuck with him for now. If 2025 is just as bad them I think that should be the end. I am hoping that he has a good year because we are short on quality in his position.

By 2026 we will have bunch of young gun forwards who got a few - or more - runs in 2025.

Let's say we need twelve forwards. We will still have Liddle, Cook, Guhler, Luciano and Sua, and maybe JDB and Klemmer to lead them but the other five or seven forwards will be young guys.

Agree it was 100% desperate. I think Flanagan's concern was we were struggling to sign anyone at all at the time and he needed a few hard head squad players for 2025. And also Michael started the season looking quite good for a few games so maybe worth the risk. At the end of the day he was cheap and there weren't many alternatives. Now there are.

Anybody knows how much Michael is on? Frank's contract is around 550. If Michael was on 300. Then together it is 850. These were deals that were done in Hook era and with the benefit of the hindsight it was a big mistake. Flanno extended Frank for 2 years and Michael for 1 year because he had no choice. I think club has to learn from this mistake. Anyway if he cannot be moved on he can play reserves or NSW cup until it is over.
