Wishart should be our target. 5-6 yrs $1 million a year. Could be a great for the Dragons.
Wishart and Atkinson would be a great combo in the halves.
Then add 2 quality front rowers.
🙏

Wishart has yet to prove himself at Half... would rather we go for an experienced player to partner Atkinson.

Definitely Agree re 2 Quality Front rowers.

Klemmer is another rubbish signing to add to all the other rubbish your man the drug cheat coach has brought to our great club. How many different insipid player signings have you now defended under this fraudulent coaching regime?

Flanagan now has the team he wanted and is off to a very predictable crap start to the season.

As I've told you for years, the whole club needs a clean out from the top down, Flanno is not some magic solution, he is part of the problem and needs to be moved on immediately.
Who the f**k are you and how long have you been on this website Nostradamus

If you exclude Cleary/Moses... the golden era of established halfbacks like DCE, Reynolds, Townsend, Fogarty, Foran etc is coming to an end in the next few years... these guys are all a year or 2 off retirement.. Hughes still has a few more in him... but this is why clubs need to look at "unproven" potential halfbacks moving forward.. this is why Newcastle were willing to take the risk on someone like Brown.. Dolphins are in on Katoa etc..

There is no pool of 100%-locked-in-Future-NRL-Halves sitting around, you have to pick who you think can grow into the role.. whether thats Atkinson or Wishart or whoever.. and you gotta build em up, or build a team around em.

Agree Rev but I think it is also important that we are clear about what we want in our half back. For mine, what we lack atm is an organizing half- someone who has the smarts to quickly count numbers and direct the attack to the most vulnerable part of a team's defences, can run pass and kick (both short and long) equally well and make the right decision -at least most of the time- and can sum up a situation (eg the opportunity for field goal) and then execute). This is not an exhaustive list but I do know that Lachie Ilias isn't an organizing half by that definition.

I've been a little disappointed with KF so far this year in terms of his involvement as a first receiver in attack.
We've got many potent attacking options
As a game manager I reckon Kyle would be able to better utilise our attack. He'd be very solid without being spectacular. As half he could take a lot of pressure off Ilias allowing Ilias to concentrate on his running game

Looking at the Storm's Pyrrhic victory over Penrith and the injuries that they've incurred, you'd have to say that God is an SGI supporter wouldn't you?- (well, we do have a saint's name in our title). There's been universal gloom on this website at the thought of playing the best team in the competition (at least on current form) coming off our losing form and here we're gifted a shot at them without Hughes and NAS at our home ground. Doesn't guarantee us the win but they're battered and bruised and their dangerous spine in particular will be a little weakened.
