Galvin leaving tigers end of 2026 , I know it’s well far from now but could dragons look for a possible Galvin Atkinson halves pairing for 2027
19-year-old Galvin has Lui as his half-partner and wants out. The Tigers are apparently offering him a 6m contract. I'd say a club with a good coach and a good chance of making the GF, will be where he lands.

My bet is on Dogs or Manly. Having said this, if we go on a winning streak, maybe we could be in the race. However, I fear a deal has already been done.

DCE, Galvin, Reynolds, Fogarty, will we get a piece of the halfback merry go round? We should, we certainly have the cap space. I think Fogarty would be an astute signing. We usually do well signing ex-raiders.

For mine Galvin must be a done deal somewhere if he has chosen not to re-sign with Tigers. I think Manly are the smokey given the Isaac Moses - Seibold connection and the departure of DCE.
agree on Galvin to Manly

u dont stuff around DCE / QLD SOO half unless u are seriously ready with another amazing option.

Plus Walker at the Roosters had a minimum $800k pa extension just signed last year

I like the way the Tigers have played the Galvin situation. Nice to see the Tigers show some backbone and I like the spite in their statement.
He wouldn’t be on much coin on his current contract so drop him to reserve grade and promote Latu. Let Galvin spend the next 1.5 seasons in reserve grade and stall his development.

It's something that all clubs go through at some point, but certainly in sharper focus for the struggling clubs as they already have roster problems to contend with.

It's also far more likely for players to want to leave a struggling club for obvious reasons.

And also let's face it those clubs with a high level of 3rd party backers will have far less players wanting to leave. This should be the Board's major priority over the next couple of years.

If I was the Tigers I would make him sit out the remainder of his contract. No reserve grade nothing but of course he will get a release self entitled player who better live up to his next contract because the pressure his management and whoever else have put on him to perform is massive. He won't get any favours from the media that's for sure

When a 18 year old signs up for an apprentership, they don't get to change the terms just because they are an outstanding apprentice.

I have no idea what is going on at the Wests Tigers- all I know is what I see. In previous years, I would have marked a game against the Tiges as a sure thing win. These days, a probable loss. Smart recruitment is part of that but they are a far more disciplined team and their attacking and defensive structures far less likely to break down under pressure. Benji has to be a big part of that surely.

As with Lomax and Hunt, the media speculation as to Galvin's motives will be non -stop but probably miss the mark.
