I don't like what Galvin has done but the Tigers knew he has no respect for coach Benji and has asked for releases but they offer upgrade for current contract ant $5 Mill new contract. How stupid are they. Glad they dropped Galvin.
Only thing worse is hearing Tallis comment on the situation. What he did to us in 96 was worse.
I agree. Tallis is the last person who should be commenting on this issue.

Conveniently, nobody on the panel saw reason to draw any kind of comparison to the Tallis situation or even mention it...

Tigers should keep Galvin and put him in KOE for this year and next. Why should they help strengthen a rival team.

This wreaks of a kid being tapped up. I feel for the Tigers because they have more or less built a team around him with Api at 9 and Luai at 6. Both Grand Final winners. Tigers brought in Sullivan and Sezer last year to play 7 but Benji liked what he saw in Galvin in the off season and put him in FG ahead of them which shows how much faith he had in him and yet Benji gets treated like this? Poor Benji, poor Tigers and I really feel for their fans.

I cannot understand how there is mention that he wants to develop under a better coach and Ciraldo is brought up. How is he a super coach when he has not won anything? I can understand if Galvin goes to a club coached by a real super coach in Ivan Cleary, Bellamy, Bennett or Robbo but why bring up Ciraldo? WTF? Flanno, Maguire and Dessi would be next in line after that as they have also won a comp. Payten, Webster and O'Brien won their 1st finals game so would possibly be next. Fitzy who is another coach rated highly may be next with 1 FInals game win out of 6 and Ciraldo losing his only finals game played. If Benji makes the 8 this year, he will have done exactly what Ciraldo has done and taken a bottom team into the Finals in his second year. If Benji wins his first finals game he would have achieved more than Fitzy and Ciraldo have done in a finals series.

Apparently Gus can spot talent yet he has let go of 2 juniors in Averillo and Alamoti as they seem to be killing it at their clubs. Alamoti has won a comp with Penrith and was outstanding in the GF and has been Penrith's best this season. Surely they would have be cheaper to hang onto them than throw big dollars on Crichton and Xerri? Then again do the Dogs even have a salary cap?

Totally agree. I'm not gonna write him off, but let Ciraldo actually win something before he's even remotely in the discussion for being a 'supercoach'. I mean, it took them signing Burton, Addo-Carr (at the time), Kikau, Crichton, Curran, Mahoney and Mann before they even remotely looked like making the top 8 just to bow out against Manly in the first week.

And yes, the Dogs are 5-0 to start this year, but we've also been April premiers a number of times. I also haven't seen anything from them yet that reaaaally shows me that they'll actually win this year, not to mention that they haven't actually played any teams that are even in the conversation for top 4.

Richo unleashed.

Its a shame your management took as long as they did to give Hunts management their come uppance.

Im not on the personal hateed of Galvo train, but im glad a club and its players stood up for once.

I hope all the struggling clubs benefit from pur touhh stance.

The kid is just a prawn.

I think you mean pawn, not prawn. Unless he is a crustacean and we don't know about it.

I know, i was being a bit naughty.

I like the odd play on words for variety to complement the chaos between my ears.

But maybe the prawn analogy isnt so far fetched.

Prawns get caught and hes been netted by his manager and then our club and players have started feasting on him.

Hunt hurt your club and hes hurt us. But we arent as restrained and civilised as you guys!
