why would twiggy do that, he’s not a dragons supporter? He sponsors the club so that Squadron Energy gets exposure in the region. Nothing more nothing less.

The more successful the team is, the more exposure for the sponsor. I would have thought that was obvious.

I think we all hoped Twiggy was going to be really hands-on with the dragons, but it does appear its really just a business transaction for him.. maybe if we were flying it would be a different story though.. companies falling over themselves to be involved...

but when you are struggling... you need someone quite passionate about the club to put all the extra time and money in like Souths had with Crowe, and the dogs with Laundy Hotels etc.. we dont have that currently.. well.. we do have a few groups behind the scenes I believe, but not sure how much has really come out of that 'so far'.

It wouldn't be Twiggy/Squadron providing the TPAs. It would be someone in Twiggys network who would provide it. Not sponsors This would help us get better players which would lead to more success and more exposure for Squadron Energy. The Roosters, TPAs don't come from their sponsors, they are provided by Uncle Nick's, mates or businesses who do work for him. Sort of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours".

I actually agree with not picking May. He has been defensively suspect. Against us, he was awful. 2 or 3 of our players went straight through him for a clean line break up the middle. I think that would be the game that sealed his fate. Selectors might have been on the fence before that. I don't think, at least at this stage, May is an "origin player". I think he'd be exposed badly.

He is a quality, fit player who gets through a lot of work and has an offload in him. He is not yet at that top tier. He's been good this year with ball in hand, but in general it's been a bit overblown in terms of how good he's been.

Right or wrong, Terrell May will never be chosen . He is not a good look. SOO is a PR machine. Same reason that JDB will never play SOO again.

As for Twiggy - i don't believe he has any personal interest in the Dragons whatsoever. He is a WA guy and will more than likely get behind the Perth Bears.

Squadron is our sponsor, haven’t seen anything to suggest Twiggy has personal interest.
Let’s face it, twiggy is much more likely to push the bears after they come in, being Perth and all.

You are absolutely right about Russell TheRev, Russell cleaned house and made Souths a team to play for.

I dont understand why people thought he would be hands on. He's just a sponsor trying to get his brand noticed in the Illawarra

Russell was an owner so very different situation and the laundys have followed the team and sport so have an invested interest in the team doing well.

Updated 2pm: Lawson isnt named in NSW Cup and it still 18th man for tomorrow (but not listed currently), MMolo 19th man.

Because its on at the same time as NSW Cup (almost) and in different state, atleast an 18th and 19th man will have to head to brisbane and miss nsw cup. Jeremy mentioned BMM back in this week also (also not named currently).
