With all this supposed cap space, perhaps we need to change tact a little and offer someone like Hass a shorter 2 year contract but on massive money, say 2 million a year, back ended/ front end whatever it takes. That way he is still young enough to make his next move back to QLD. As mentioned previously, a lot of these QLD players become homesick. I would also be signing Cobbo, we need to take a chance and I feel he could be our cheaper version of Latrell Mitchell.

A lot of clubs would be interested in Cobbo as depth on a modest contract... its just who would be willing to guarantee him a starting 13 role.. and/or pay him >700k? He'd get a starting gig here at a struggling club, and we are honestly struggling to get blokes to come and fill the cap, but I doubt we would pay him overs to get him to sydney (or the gong).

It might have just been an approach to him post Dom Young going there, we have made a lot of those approaches, and most if not all dont actually come off...... or maybe he will hear more in days to come.

Longer it goes though, the less likely it is.. he rly isnt a game changer anyway mind you.. but nonetheless an upgrade you would suggest over your current wingers (just).

A big no to Cobbo from me. While immensely talented his focus seems all over the place (only from what I've read). I don't think it's what we need in trying to build a side. I think we need to adopt the Storm "no DHead" policy.

They had 30 registered, replacing them is an option not mandatory.

I think its tricky.. we had 30 names signed so I dont think we need to do anything by June 30.. but its probably in our best interest to try and get atleast 1 bloke in before then... failing that maybe we look to upgrade a junior or 2.. or who knows..
