Halangahu not in his best form in cup, but with nicks injury yeah he's rly the last one left to blood.. I dunno what we will do with him though... Maybe swap. Him in for Luciano for 15mins..

He will get a game though.. Still 4 games left after this one.

Go hard for someone like Savala, gun kicker & a genuine halfback but big unit so could slot into a ball playing lock too. I'd also go after Campbell, along with Mooney. Younger players with upside but can be genuine starters in a top 8 side. We should be building our roster to challenge for top 8 then top 4, right now we're competitive but it's not a top 8 roster.
We have a team with half of the players are young with plenty of upside. What we really need right now is:
A marquee prop
A marquee halfback
A Marquee Fullback

It’s just hard work.
Live in the suburbs, still renting, will never afford to buy, sit in traffic for 15-20 hours a week, car parks in the city are priced so high as to discourage anyone other than corporate credit cards from parking in them.
Road rage is rife, you make the slightest error in traffic and prepare to be abused.
Tolls, lol, I spend a small fortune on tolls.
I refuse to get in my car on weekends, the roads have made me a weekend recluse!
Gold Coast sounds great….
Gee this sounds a bit depressing, hope life is kinder to me when I grow up 😂😂

With Kerr coming back in, no one knocking down the door for Klemmer, LPT another off season, the Couchies and Stewart, plus possibly Jett Liu and M Molo, the middle looks ok next year. Adding Mooney for Latu would be the right get.

And I’d hit the roof if we signed Jayden Campbell.

Yes to both.
Both sound ok. But im still applying burn cream so Ill not get my hopes up we sign anyone

That's not entirely correct.... It is more complex...in a nutshell we no longer pay overs....Player managers have had a field day in the past.

The other factor is we have been a rabble since Wayne left....ship is starting to be corrected....just look at the dogs...Gould originally said 5 year plan and everybody laughed after 5 years ....but look at them now...

We are still probably 3 years away from being Top 8 side....I have more faith in Flanno than any other coach we recruited after Wayne.

We have went hard out for a number of top players both prior but also during Shane's time as coach. It's been a mess since Wayne left but I think we all hoped Shane could be the connected guy to bring us the players we need. He seems to have brought the coaching know-how, I am satisfied with that as I think most are. The recruitment has been a major fail, whether you subscribe to his cheap philosophy or not. Teams like Broncos, Bulldogs and soon Roosters will have two half backs far exceeding any of ours, to give some contrast to how far off we are.

Flanagan himself may not like to be too generous with salaries he is willing to throw their way, and I can respect that, but I just get the feeling it's not for money reasons they are, one after one, turning us down. Players don't yet respect us or take us seriously, hence why Anderson has been brought in at long last.

It feels we are about to face another season in limbo, without that gun prop and controlling half back we crucially need, and while it will be fantastic to see the young guns get some more games under their belt, 2027 is going to be doubly hard to gain the signature we need without going big monetary wise or without asserting ourselves as the real deal in prospective players' eyes.

I am happy to accept the extension, but I think, unfortunately you can't deny he is part to blame in not getting use the cattle by this stage. Anyway, there's nothing left to do but back them in now and do that 'hoping' thing we have become so accustomed to. Some clubs hope, some clubs seem to get it done instead.

What’s the problem with Douhei wanting to stay with his current side? I wish more players would, especially when it’s a team like the tigers.

personally I’m glad we made them pay more and for the extra year. He was a descent guy to try being a utility player we could benefit from. That said, move on

Flanagan has to take some responsibility for recruitment. BUT don’t forget that the Dragons have been chasing a Head of Recruitment for at least 18 months! That’s a lot of extra responsibility for Flanno.

Hopefully there’s a big signing or two around the corner. In the meantime Flanagan has been conservative with recruitment. If he’d announced the signing of Dylan Brown for TEN years at $1.3 million a season how would we have felt?? Would you have been willing to pop down to Wollongong and meet Dylan on your JetSki?
