If it was for 2026 then he would have already received offers. He hasn't. November 1 is for 2027 contracts.Error .

Our priority is for a marquee prop; we already have enough forwards who are making their way up and who have lots of potential.I like that we're aiming for a Tino but someone more realistic might be like a Tapine when he moved from Knights to Canberra. He had loads of potential as a youngster but developed into a gun at Canberra. Now he's their captain & one of the best props in the game but also a cry baby. He had some good forwards like Papalii & Whitehead nurturing him too.
Someone like a tapine would be more realistic imo without the cry baby stuff.
I really think this is where the next prop forward will come from.I like that we're aiming for a Tino but someone more realistic might be like a Tapine when he moved from Knights to Canberra. It already has come out - Laundy not being fully aware of the salary cap rules last time they tried to sign Tino, admitted to offering him shares in venues owned by Laundy Hotels. Instead of an investigation, a fine, or any deterrent whatsoever the NRL and the bulldogs swept it under the rug as if it never happened and have obviously hoped people will forget. It is naive to think they aren't still doing this, obviously it is a factor in them signing so many big money players, coupled with upgrades for other players, whilst still being able to be in the market for just about anyone else who becomes available. Maybe the NRL do not want the negative media attention another salary cap scandal will bring, I don't know, but it is clear there are significant rorts going on and the NRL are deliberately turning a blind eyeIf it ever comes out that Laundy is offering ownership in Pubs for Bulldog players then it seams reasonable that any increase in the value of such ownership yoy should be included in the Bulldogs salary cap for the following year?
It also does beg the question, what happens to that ownership once a player leaves the Bulldogs? Are they obliged to sell out - maybe t an incoming player?
It is incomprehensible that great players at other teams are on 1M - 1.5M and some of these Bulldog superstars are supposedly well under $1M.
They only want to portray fairness to the masses. It isnt and never will be.It already has come out - Laundy not being fully aware of the salary cap rules last time they tried to sign Tino, admitted to offering him shares in venues owned by Laundy Hotels. DD, I think I read somewhere that we were looking at a prop whose current coach didnt think he was progressing enough(or similar) fingers crossed we need a starting prop to replace gulerI really think this is where the next prop forward will come from.
More than likely a young bloke who has not reached his ceiling at another club, but sees the opportunity to be a leader at the Dragons.
Anderson would know exactly what we need.
Plenty of young big boppers at clubs like the Roosters and the Panthers, and other clubs as well.
Good news to hear about the interest in Tino, but once again the rumour is being floated by Buzz.
Hopefully Henry. There’s your firebrand, aggression and line speedDD, I think I read somewhere that we were looking at a prop whose current coach didnt think he was progressing enough(or similar) fingers crossed we need a starting prop to replace guler
I’m going to put it out there and say I’d rather a player like Henry than Tino. I know, I know Tino is top shelf but I’ve said this before, our highest paid player should be our halfback.Hopefully Henry. There’s your firebrand, aggression and line speed
Draginzaar , my post was a genuine error , however for what it is worth I realize that our offer is indeed for season 2027 .If it was for 2026 then he would have already received offers. He hasn't. November 1 is for 2027 contracts.
We very much need a marque prop. So if he is top level I'm very interested in knowing who he is.DD, I think I read somewhere that we were looking at a prop whose current coach didnt think he was progressing enough(or similar) fingers crossed we need a starting prop to replace guler
Gippsy I had that same poster when I was a kid talk about bringing back great memoriesI don't mind this massive offer/interest for Tino being played out in the media. We know we won't get him but if it means some club has to pay $2M per year for 10 years than great, let them go and stuff up their salary cap.

I have thought the same JDB , Klemmer and Nelson would make a formidable set of bookends . There is no doubting that he fits the criteria for an alpha prop - big , hard , makes plenty of metres and damn ugly to boot .like we have so much salary cap space, we need a massive like a giant forward like nelson to come and smash packs and get meters. its like idk why we dont just try target himm for an early release
