I see a few posters are interested / keen to see Cook at 13 and for the life of me I just don't see how that even remotely works for a few games in a row let alone a season. We are a small easily contained pack without an alpha leader and any notion of Cook or KF in that role full time will only make that situation worse.

Young Hamish should be the heir apparent to that role on a full time basis and 1 Couchman returned to the prop rotation and taking Luciano with him leaving Sua, Egan, Couchman, Tsougranis and Halangahu fighting out the back row.
I'd rather see Stewart at lock.

To me, it's time for Cook to retire or play in reserve grade.

We need to buy S Smith from the Roosters on a two year deal. Pair him with Atkinson of LKT, whowever is in form.

I'm not convincd Gutherson is quick enough for the fullback position.

Good on him for sacking deadwood...but will it help get a winning football side in the next year or 2??
Just confirms my opinion that Ryan Webb was incompetent..and yet was kept for 5 years
Yes- Webb was neither a mover or a shaker- a seat warmer at best. Watsford has a franchise on his doorstep (the Illawarra Hawks) who are the current NBL champions. The Kings have always been the destination club but the Hawks, with clever management, changed all that. Hopefully Watsford and the rest of the Dragons recruitment team tap into that intell.

I think with Anderson here we will aim our sights higher in terms of who we go after.. I think Flanno needed help in this area, tbf he doesnt have a heap of brain space to devote to it either.. and I think he needed someone to help him get out of his conservative bubble.

We still need that GM and hopefully a gun assistant.. but were getting there.. but might be a while before we start getting some real momentum with our roster.. that said im still hopeful we will have some improvements coming for 26.. and maybe some even better ones for 27..

Got to say Atkinson playing for Sharks tonight has a great kicking game… far far better than Kyle or LKT
He is not a 'big boot' ala Boyd/Burton etc.. but hes above average I think.. which for us will be some kind of miracle.. the lost metres in every single set that we have to contend with..

Bit strange with the way he passes the ball, very unprecise, im not sure if we can manufacture him into a starting 7 in 1 preseason... but if not him then who...

NickT can play that role
Yeah 100%, without seeing who we fill our last 4or5 slots with, we have a bench of:

14. Liddle or Cook
15. Kerr or Toby or Guler or Tonga or Klemmer (2 of em will be starting props)
16. Ryan Couchman
17. Nick T or Halangahu or Leilua

We need another prop (but only if hes a good one), it does mean at full strength there are gonna be some very good middles in NSW Cup... but that would be a good problem to have for once.

The problem we have is that #17 spot.. NickT for me the one.. covers ctr, backline and I think he could play middle easily.. Leilua will need to learn to cover middle or hes done with NRL imo.. but id pick NickT.. young legs.. more energy, more agile.. and Halangahu I think will just play cup until we end up with injuries, but ill be fascinated to see what position he trains in over the off-season, every year I forget how much better kids get with 1 off season.
