Radley is an interesting one. We don't need a lock but he'll automatically be our best lock if we get him. Could hinder Stewart's development and game time but Stewart can do a job off the bench at times i guess. Radley has way too many head-knocks. Nothing more than a 2 year deal will be ok. Just desperately need a big prop to make serious metres
The head knocks and the dick head behaviour are both big red flags in my book. Anyone who thinks it's a good idea to engage with Brandon Smith on social media about drugs and sports betting needs psychiatric help imo. It's a huge no from me.

I do wonder who the 4-7 players are that we are going to sign that satisfy the required tickboxes:
[ ] Actually available
[ ] Actually good
[ ] Not over 30
[ ] Willing to come to our club

But still meet the last criteria:
[ ] Exceeds moral high-ground

If we can get Radley we will.. he might not be willing to even play with another NRL club yet.. and if he retires from concussion so be it.. he's off the cap again.. in the meantime even if he needs weeks off from time to time.. it would allow us to increase Stewarts minutes in between...

We obviously wont expect another injury run like 2025.. but its almost a given we will have plenty more of them in 2026, esp these young middles... their bodies aren't hardened for 27 rounds of NRL intensity.

Do yourself a favour and listen to the Couchman Brothers being interviewed by Kenty on his podcast - Kenty Blitz.

Both are articulate and incredibly insightful particularly on game analysis.

You could feel in Kenty's voice that they surprised him and that he thoroughly enjoyed the discussion.

Both Toby and Ryan are naturals for a future RL analysis podcast series.

The show has to be called 'The Couchmen'.

Thanks for the heads up mate. Those boys are ultra impressive. I really like Kenty in that format as well where he's not being paid to be the dickhead antagonist like he was on 360.

St George Illawarra star and NSW under-19s forward Jacob Halangahu has been ruled out of the NSW Cup grand final after being rushed to hospital for emergency surgery.

Halangahu, an outstanding prospect who played five NRL games this year, trained with the team as normal on Thursday evening.

After returning home, Halangahu complained of severe stomach pain and was rushed to hospital where surgeons removed his appendix.

The Dragons’ NSW Cup side produced a 24-10 upset over minor premiers the Warriors last weekend to book themselves a place in next Sunday’s grand final at CommBank Stadium, where they will meet the winner of Saturday’s clash between New Zealand and Parramatta at Jubilee Oval.

But St George Illawarra will have to do it without Halangahu, who has had a rapid ascent through the Red-V grades.

The former Patrician Brothers Blacktown schoolboys star made both his NSW Cup and NRL debuts this year, and will join the Dragons’ top-30 squad next season, having signed a two-year contract extension.

The Dragons consider the 183cm, 109kg edge forward one of their key long-term talents.

Halangahu was the Dragons’ SG Ball player of the year when he led them to last season’s premiership, before representing NSW under-19s in their State of Origin win over Queensland.

I know this is a fairy routine procedure but I hope it all goes well.

Shit timing for the bloke.

Missing out on the GF and all...

Shit timing definitely but rather it happen while we are out of finals contention with no bearing on the NRL season.

few of our best forwards missing the g/f now.. there is also the game after (if they win) against qld.

Appendix is pretty routine, but if its happened in a tackle or something.. wouldnt be the best if its ruptured.. but hopefully we will get an update tomorrow..
