Parra finished in front of us in almost every department.

2 more wins, more points for, less points against, finished 4-1 to our 1-4.

Offloaded veterans for youth and if not for Moses being injured would have finished closer to the 8 if not in the 8.

Meanwhile we loaded up with veterans, discarded youth and picked KF in every game.

Ryles showing what a real coach does with malcontents by showing them the door while we pussyfoot around with them.

Chalk and cheese.
Parra fortunes have limited to do with your messiah Ryles.. Moses is just very high quality. He plays they win he doesn’t they lose. Speed, kicking game, reads the play and passion. If it wasn’t for Cleary he would get much more of the plaudits.

Hey Oldtimer, Parra played Saints twice in 2025. Never led the Saints once in 160 minutes. Won the first game in Golden point which is the only time they hit the lead. Both games similar, Saints gone to a huge lead, put foot off the gas and Parra get close. In the second games, Saints lost 3 players to injury in the game and end up with a front rower as their only bench player. Ryles game plans did not seem so superior.

Melbourne score 56 points against Parra and 3 weeks later the Storm manage to score 8 points against Saints.

Parra got a few wins on the back of Moses, especially the Tigers game. If Moses was at Saints, especially at that time when he came back, Saints would be in the 8. Why, because they led a few games in that time and could not finish it. For example against the Dogs and Warriors, Saints have Moses in those 2 games and Saints win. Simple.

Saints scored 107 tries in the end to Parra 101 tries. But apparently Parra had a better season, yet they beat Saints on golden point when they were totally outplayed which they ended the season on 10 wins to Saints 8. If Saints win that game against Parra it is 9 wins each. And Saints dropped that game against Souths so would be 1 ahead. Saints were terrible but Parra where not that far superior. Brad Arthur and Ryles proving to be similar and that is reliant on Mitch.

So old timer, please tell us how Parra had such a standout season to Saints apart from the ladder standing which in the end means nothing as both missed the finals?

How can you back Ryles when he chose to coach Parra over Saints? I am sure Parra fans would feel the same if Nathan Cayless was a much sought after coach and knocks back going to Parra to come to Saints especially at a time Parra needed him. You may hate Flanno but your mate Ryles is what got Flanno to Saints. He could have easily chosen Saints but let you especially down where as Flanno jumped at the chance which automatically a better coach in my eyes.
What got Flanno to us wasn't Ryles it was our totally ineffective BOD who wanted a soft cock coach who would compromise himself to get the gig.

Ryles has taken the bit between the teeth at the Eels and is doing major surgery instead of putting bandaids on severed arteries like we do.

Whilst Parra took a while to gel after offloading a lot of senior players in the end they played a much more exciting brand of attacking football than we did after all SF's "quality" purchases.

Standout season are your words not mine but fair to say that finishing 4-1 and a fresh wind in their sales was a fair way to wrap up their 1st season under a brand new coach whereas we finished 1-4 firmly in the doldrums and the tank on empty. To add to that KF extended and firmly in the 7 and SF looking clueless so much so he has now brought in another "Shark's buddy" in Ennis who I also rate at the lower end of things.

SF was the must have "premiership winning coach" who would bring so much more to the table than a rookie and that has simply not been the case and our recruitment for 2026 compared to Parra is also another area where Ryles has more qudos than our bloke.

SF made plenty of bold statements in year 1 & 2 has failed and in fact taken us backward and now we have an even bigger hill to climb.

COWBOYS STAR’S BIG CALL

Cowboys’ flyer Murray Taulagi is reportedly set to leave the club after failing to reach an agreement over an extension with North Queensland.

The Maroons’ Origin star is off-contract in 2026 and has been free to negotiate with rivals since November 1.

The Daily Telegraph’s Brent Read revealed on X, formerly Twitter that Taulagi is set to leave the Cowboys.

“Last I heard, he was leaving,” Read posted on X after being asked if the Cowboys were set to re-sign the star winger.

Taulagi has scored 61 tries in 108 games for the Cowboys since his NRL debut in 2019 and has also scored two tries in six Origins for Queensland and five tries in seven Tests for the Kangaroos and Samoa.

The 26-year-old scored 12 tries in 15 games for the Cowboys last season, but lost his place in the Maroons’ side after an injury interrupted campaign.

Got some air time on a podcast today that Cows arent extending Drinkwater, and a few clubs (we were suggested) would be trying to get him. If they let him go early (whether its us or otherwise) they could perhaps extend Purdue and give him a starting spine spot which is probably the issue with keeping him currently.

At his age though (28), I think 2026 is maybe the only worthwhile option.. I mean.. maybe 2027 is ok too, but we would be bringing him for his young legs/speed, hes already not the best defensively.

I've gazed into my crystal ball and seen the future trajectory of Rugby 360- December 2025- Rugby 180....January 2026- Rugby 90- February 2026- Rugby not very much at all.

Look on the bright side Zac- there'll soon be 17 other NRL clubs your agent can contact.

Didn’t we have him here before? Or was that his brother?
