Put Suli in other teams he does not get a run. His attack is rubbish. Teams have guys that make linebreaks every now and then not bash and barge. Feagai has given us Saints fans more highlights in his much fewer games than Suli (try against Broncos, winner against the chooks to give Ryan Carr his first NRL win etc). Can anyone remember a Suli try highlight in all these years? Suli simply does not score those tries Feagai did whereas what Suli does on the field I think Buchanan and Feagai can do as well. Buchanan's stats last week was 9 tackles no missed tackles to Suli's 9 tackles and 3 missed ones. Why not get players that add something extra in breaking a line every now and then to what Suli does who only managed 2 linebreaks all of 2025. His career best is 8 in 2024 but before that had 2 years of 5 linebreaks. In 2022 Feagain made 19 linebreaks. Last year he made 6. His first season he made 8 which is Suli's best in a year.

Compare that to someone like Katoni Staggs who made 26 linebreaks, 11 the year before, 14 previous year. Both you would think are similar type players and that is run hard.
Im Sorry Slippery. I dont see Hayden Buchanan running 180 +m every game and bashing it out of our own end for us. Until our fowards pull their finger out of their arse unfortunately we need a player Like Moses Suli, we were dogshit without him last year.

I've heard our coaches talk about how it's good to have outside backs with different skillsets. Suli bringing the ball out of defence, Sloan raw speed, Tui raw power, Fale good in the air. Wouldn't it be nice to have a few youngsters coming through who had the full package. It's no good being able to do one thing and not the other at this level.

We have a very big problem with defence. It is understood by most leading coaches that good defence will go a long way to provide a winning game. Our assistant coach for defence, Dean Young, has proved over the past seasons that he js not upto the job.

Surely, our coaches should be able to address Suli's shortfalls in defensive skills and his relctance to set up his winger in attack should have been addressed in previous off-seasons and in weekly training events.

Last season I suggested that Leilua should join the prop rotation and Suli be on the right edge (Sa'A to the right edge) for season 2026.

Leilua - big, strong, fast,, good offload for 25 minutes a game is the prop we're missing in 2026.

Suli - big, strong and quick for an edge forward would be a big asset on the edge or at 17.

Egan to 11 when he is fit

Buchanan to Centre for 2026

Yep saw highlights of the young Tiger, absolute gun.
We either have the young backs coming through or go and poach them. Requirements of what we need is speed balance and skill, size is important but not essential.

We were watching the emergence of the Roosters wing replacement for Daniel Tupou. Uncle Nick will be working his magic to steal him like he did Tedesco. Remembering Tedesco was all but gone to the Raiders, changed his mind, then signed with the Roosters. Politis paw prints all over that.

I really hope Suli proves me wrong and this is his breakout season. We need a few fellas to do that this year and if they all do, then top 8 will be in their sights.
Can't remember which game , but he leaped above the pack to catch a bomb put up by the opposition that landed right on the try line caught it and ran the length of the field to score . But yes his memorable plays are few and far between . Basically just has good meters in him on kick return with the occasional half a break .
