Billy Idol is hell underrated. Steve Stevens' guitar work on Idol's first few albums alone makes them worth a listen. "Rebel Yell", "Eyes Without A Face", "Don't Need A Gun", "World's Forgotten Boy"...all killer songs.

As for the Sex Pistols...meh. I'll take the Dead Kennedys any day.

There are plenty of good musicians in punk bands, look at NoFX, Frenzal, Bad Religion, Peennywise etc. Its not all 3 chord stuff, but the pistols were. The sould never have got back together, Rotten has been losing all credibility lately. The Filth and the Fury was excellent tho.
