The Simpsons Movie

Just seen the new Simpson's movie right then.

I haven't got a bad thing to say about it.

I'll give it 8/9 out of 10.

It's refreshing to watch some good clean fun with no violence, swearing and guns 'n gang crap.

Something different.

I don't know about watching at ten in the morning though.
You sort of get used to watching The Simpsons 'round 7pm.

So if you see it, see the night sessions.

Here's my summory.

At the end Mr. Burns is sitting with Smither's and says, "I don't believe in suicide. But if you wanna go ahead and do it, I'll happily watch."

Bart decides to strip naked after a Homer dare and the skateboard scene is a scream. (his doodle!)
When Ralph sees Bart naked he goes, "I like men!"

There's a few racy gestures in the film suggesting a sexual nature.

(The 2 cops up the ally?)

Homer grabbing his balls.

Homer's theory that shaking it more than twice constitutes playing with it.

Marge 'n Homer in the cabin as well.

What are the negatives? Perhaps the ending's a bit of a cop-out, I think.
The first 3/4 of the film is excellent but the end quarter is a bit of a let down. But what ending is good in a film?
That whole bike thing and the bomb was a bit over the top.

What became of Homer's pig? Spider Pig? They didn't finish off its storyline.

Other let downs was some character's screne time.

Mr Burns is my fav character. He only got no more than 4 minutes in the film.
Patty Selma and Mrs. Krabockal went missing. No quick-e-mart appearances.

It's a good show. I highly reccomend it.

Funny pros. Nice scenary.
Two thumbs up, people.

It's also been a good day because I ejected a poop before going out thismorning.
Nothing worse than getting around stuffed like a turkey anticipating a toilet break.
I was like The Empire illegaly dumping rubbish on the toilet thismorning.

There's another thing........environmental issues crept into The Simpson's story line and I'm getting a bit tired of this whole global warming garbage.

P.S. I bought Dwight Yokham's 'Best of' and Disturb's 'Down with the sickness' CD's today too so I'm off to listen to them.
(I saw a t-shirt somewhere today stating "Rehab is for quiters.")

There was stacks of funny one liner's in The Simpson's movie but I'm hard pressed remembering them.
I should of took my pen 'n pad and wrote 'em down because they were extremely funny.

Oh, and another thing.....it's normal feature lenght and nothing over 2 hours long. At max I think it would have went no more than hour 'n a half? Not too long not too short.

I just got home.

I thought it was alright, the story is a bit weak IMO and the ending wasnt that great IMO.

But if you ever liked the Simpsons I guess it's definitely worth watching, I felt it started fairly well but was on a downward slide from then.

What about the bit with Kent Brockman, the news reader, and having no Botox?
See his face slide down then he pegs it back?

now way i wont be seeing it... simpsons are utter sh*t these does.

not funny at all, infact i'd rather be kicked in the balls than go see this movie
I would gladly take you up on that offer faggott. I'm sick of everyone bagging the simpsons and getting on the family guy bandwagon. Family gay has a long way to go before it can even be compared to the simpsons. Simpsons has been around so much longer and is able to appeal to a much broader demographic, unlike family guy, which relies on crudeness, and is probably only watched by 15-30 year old males.

Anyway, I went last night, the cinema was packed, it was awesome. It was consistently funny thoughout, I can't wait to go see it again, I'll probably see it a few more times yet. It's a must see.

PS: Simpsons producers were smart, they bided their time and have released a masterpiece, unlike south park and family guy movies, which are replayed on tv all the time and the viewers don't even realise it's the movie, it seems like just another episode.

PPS: St Brett, the running time was 87 minutes.

Which is exactly why both those movies were better.

family guy movie was nothing special.

South Park movie was hilarious

I loved that movie because I love Family Guy. The point I was making is the Family Guy & South Park movies stuck to what they were good at. I'd rather watch an episode of Simpsons than watch the movie again.

Havn't seen the movie but the trailer hasn't really left me in stitches.

IMO the Family Guy movie was terrible. Don't think I got one good laugh out of it, which sadly seems like a trend since FG came back.

isaw it last night i enjoyed it but glad it didnt go for no longer.

i found it really weird watching a simpson episode(thats what it is but longer) in packed cinema with all age demographics laughing at different bits. Being 22 im used to just watching with brother who is 2yrs younger and mates the same age.

it was an enjoyable movie and interesting experience worth the $13.50

It says something when the most talked about part of the movie is spider-pig.

The movie was okay... But Simpsons just isn't as funny as it use to be.

Thats because it was used as a hook in the trailer.

TBH while i found the storyline rather far fetched, i think it was as though the characters in the Simpsons were playing characters resembling themselves in a movie in the Simpsons universe - if that makes sense - ie with Reiner Woflcastle playing "President Schwartznegger, and the Simpsons themselves watching the movie. It may not have been the intention, but for better or worse that is how i see it.

And in regards to cartoon nudity, it was done brilliantly with Barts wang. Probably one of the funniest wang-hiding sequences i've ever seen.
