Well, the news series Survivor Vanuata has just gotten underway and I am so glad it is back. What did you all think of the new cast? Any early projections to win ya'll?

First episode threw up few surprises. Same as the Amazon in that the tribes were men and women, and the women got a 'surprise' first up win thanks to a balance beam challenge.

No idea for early picks to go far yet from the women - didn't see enough of them to get a good guage.

From the men, I reckon Lea might be hanging around for a while. For a drill sergeant he did well to stay out of the lime light, set up a solid alliance and could be a possible power player.

Brady might be wily, but playing without an alliance is a tricky game. It could keep him out of the spotlight early; essentially he just has to avoid f**king up in a big way to get to the merge. But from there, alliances are massively important... unless he's hoping to set himself up as the swing vote. Either way, it seems like he's playing for 5th.

Unless he gets himself into the majority alliance quick smart and does some strong bonding, I can't see him winning the thing.

Brooke got pretty blind sighted. Chris didn't deserve to stay on board. Not too long before Rory goes I would imagine...

No comment on the chicks camp so far although it looks as though we've already found the 'big mouth' of this series! (We should call these people the 'Jennas' or 'Jerris' from now on or something).

Oh what a relief it was to see the greatest reality show return to television.

And yes, NO SPOILERS in here or I will tear apart whatever Capitane doesn't! :twisted:

brooke was blind sided something shocking, i thought chris wouldve been gone with the first 5 votes.

Well, here we go again...

It might have just been my frame of mind at the time, but the opening episode of the new series left me feeling flatter than normal.

The opening scenes with the tribal ceremony were contrived to the max and provided a sexist and pretentious introduction to the latest round of hostilities...

I also can't say that I found any of the contestants particularly likeable (maybe the guy with the artificial leg), and felt that most of the guys came across as twobob redneck hicks.

You can bet dollars to donuts that the token black guy will be sent on a long walk down a short road, toot-sweet; and in the female tribe, its hard to know who is more irritating, the young lass who blathers-on 24/7 without ever saying anything worthwhile, or the old bird who sanctimoniously prattles-on about the youngsters not carrying their load and working 15 hour days???!!!

Yeah, I pretty much loathe 'em all, but its not as if its a popularity contest...

Let the backstabbing begin.

Eliza has put herself in an interesting position. Depending on how she reacts next week, it was either a master stroke or a complete f**k up.

Indeed, its a shame Dolly is gone, she was hot, but she was also stupid, so to bad..
Eliza, will be interesting to see where that move puts her within the tribe.

Rory is a fool, he deserved to have gotten shut down by Lea when he was yelling directions, it would of been hard enough without some idiot yelling out also.

Brady and John K are in an interesting position, they could go form a strong alliance, but i can not see it happening atm cause they both simply do not think its needed atm...

Should be another good series.
