That and a combined deal of 1.15 - 1.25B would be the absolute minimum that would make sticking with Nein bearable. As well as 5 years, not 6. Cant see it happening though.

I've been surprised by how many people have just assumed with certainty that Nine would lose the rights. I've said all along I'd have been shocked if they did. They need rugby league because they have nothing else. Their numbers would be as shit as channel 10 if they lost rugby league. They had first and last rights. They were never going to lose it.

Today or tomorrow we'll hear about them and Fox getting 5 years for about 1 billion, or in other words more than double the current deal.

With 7 and 10s interest the money was always going to be up there are 1 bill, but for me the more important thing is coverage. I want a fourth FTA game, I want them all to be live and I want it all simulcast on Fox. Hopefully we get those things.

i heard a week or so ago that Foxsports were pitching to have a league dedicated channel simliar to Fox footy. Would be nice if that happened.
Well if 9 has kept the rights how about they show some HD NRL and give you viewers choice on Friday nights.
Also there needs to be a fixed schdule not games decided by the Tv networks.
