So the stale pathetic half hearted coverage will continue. What a terrible result for fans.
I seem to recall a bunch of people claming it wouldn't even get past $750 million

The NRL will this morning announce it is returning its broadcast rights to a consortium of Nine and Foxtel.
However, in a significant twist, rumours are swirling that the Ten Network
could also be in on the deal, capturing a package of games.
A spokesman for the NRL said that it would be making a statement shortly, however insiders have suggested that it will be to announce the deal rumoured to worth around $1bn.
A spokesman for Nine said this morning the report was "premature" as no deal had yet been formalised.
The deal is believed to include a range of new innovations that will extend the reach of the code beyond TV to tablets and mobile.
Nine is undertsood to have come over the top of rivals, Seven and Ten, but may also have agreed to spread the costs with Ten.
Ten was desperate to get a foot in the door with chairman Lachlan Murdoch desperate for a slice of the action in order to give the struggling network a platform to promote its shows.
However insiders say they remain confident Nine will retain the contract.
Yep and that's another advantage the AFL has. No crowd hurting Monday night or Sunday night games.Yeah I wouldn't doubt them cutting yet another day game. One delayed sunday afternoon game a week would sound pretty good to the broadcaster's ears.
Fox would laugh at that idea.so are Fox going to pay the home team for loss of gate takings on sunday nights like they do on mondays?
750 was as ridiculous as 1.4.I seem to recall a bunch of people claming it wouldn't even get past $750 million
Word is 80m a year from 9 and 100m a year from Fox adding up to 900m. That's the direct comparison to the AFL.Also what was the key figure? Over $1B???
Nine and Fox being able to continue their dictation of the schedule is an epic fail, why did Grant say 2 weeks ago that patience is the key and nothing may be done by late September, then we sign off on this just 3 days after it was offered?
Ugh.
In all the articles I've seen it refers to the 'NRL rights'.
Perhaps they'll be selling SOO and Tests separately later on?
