I think Timmins will go fine at centre. He doesn't pass but he's on Blacklocks wing, and Blacklock will likely be on the other side of the field anyway.
Yes but i feel any play that goes out to timmins will be a dead play or may as well be counted as a voulintary tackle because the opposition knows exactly what will happen when he has got the ball. i think he is more suited to lock personally it suits his style of play.

I don't know if it's worth putting much stock in it but Timmins on the Dally Ms tonight let it slip that Gasnier was still a chance. Something about training a lot and being re-assessed later this week.

That may explain the Carlaw being on the extended bench better than Poore being there.

If Gaz does pass fit on Friday, we'll have:

1. Ben HORNBY
2. Nathan BLACKLOCK
3. Mark Gasnier
4. Matt COOPER
5. Reece SIMMONDS
6. Trent BARRETT (c)
7. Mathew HEAD
8. Brent KITE
9. Mark RIDDELL
10. Jason RYLES
11. Dean YOUNG
12. Lance THOMPSON
13. Shaun TIMMINS

14. Ashton SIMS
15. Ben Creagh
16. Luke BAILEY
17. Lincoln WITHERS

I dont think timmins will be at centre to score points! I'll bet the panther outside backs will know what's comming to them a nanno-second after receiving the ball!

All I can think of is that maybe Brown is worried about Carlaw's defence. The Panthers have shown they can rack up some points recently and maybe Brown thinks its better to stiffen up the defence and take that option away from them. Scoring points on the Panthers shouldn't be a problem its stopping their attack which is where we will win it. If you were Martin Lang you probably would target Carlaw as he would be the weakest link. Not that his defnce is even that bad but I have noticed at times he is slow to turn around and chase kicks etc.

It would not surprise me if Brown has some trick up his sleeve, like Gasnier. I do think that one of the props won't make it. 5 props in the team is too many and would leave us too slow when we have to play one in the 2nd row during the game. When we have played Poore, Sims or Kite in the 2nd row during games I don't think it has worked at all. As the effect of loosing a player to injury during a game can turn a match I would be more inclined to play Bailey in PL to get a game under his belt. Although possible, it is very unlikely we could be eliminated in the first week of the finals.

....Big fan of reiteration?
Actually i think his "catch the ball and run an angle" style will work better on the fringe.

this may be a safety option if baily is out there ofr ten minutes and then get injured and cant play the rest of the game?? then atleast we would have another prop waiting to play fully fit.

You just don't know what to expect from him.
Who will show up... the good Hamster... or the evil Hamster?

I've become very hesitant to use the word "surely" as a Dragons fan.

I heard very indirectly that Gasnier is almost certain to play, anyone heard something about it?

Hehe, I heard that from a mate, came on here to confirm. Awesome, though I've got no idea how Luke Lewis injured himself? Sounds like he wanted to trump the original injury-prone centre that would have been playing that game
