The thing that angers you most about the knights game is...

How we got continually suckered by the same play. First receiver diagonal to line, line stalls in anticipation of backrower receiving ball, FB running behind backrower on same angle as ball-player receives ball, wallah! extra man created, passes to center or wing for the break. How many times did that happen?

maybe the fact that we were up 18-0 and crusing it before we somehow managed to f**k the game up? - and it wasnt like the knights stepped up a gear... they were pretty ordinary as well imho.... which further demonstrates how f**king bad we fell apart..

could have been worst - at least I didnt put down $100 at the TAB like I was planning to...

The worst thing about it is that the play they used over and over again is one that Bennett's teams have used (abused, some might say) for as long as I can remember. Surely they would have been drilled against it at some point during the week? No? FFS.

Second man plays have been killing us all year with Maloney/Johnson/Taylor probably the three worst culprits. That gives a lot of space out wide and a few too many numbers for our outside backs who to be honest really don't need any extra encouragement to f**k up a defensive line.

For me there were two things that made me angry.

1) When we were 12-0 up. The Knights kicked it and out set of six went, Locke, Omar, Maloney, Hurrell, Mateo, and there was little effort from the forwards to get back and either take a hit up or support the player with the ball to give him numbers to help break down the defensive line. Considering the amount of 12 point leads we've either given up or almost given up this season the drop off in intensity was noticeable and frustrating. We were then gifted a soft penalty and even softer try, but the signs were there.

2) Right after halftime. How f**king horrible were we on both sides of the ball? Giving up 60-70 odd metres a set, making 30-40 in response. Our backs either need to make some proper metres or stay the f**k out of the way, and any hit up combination of Tupou, Omar, Taylor, Henry in consecutive tackles is going to leave us f**ked, each of them are either under or around the 7m per run mark. Lillyman/Louisi haven't done much better at times, leaving us in a really poor position.

Our shocking display overshadowed how horrible the refs were last night.

Its obvious we need to spend big money to get the best wingers and a centre. Owens must be in fairyland to think our U20s can suddenly fill those spots

The Knights were paying 4.20 or so after spanking Manly, I told a mate to jump all over it and he duly did.

Apart from the fact we can't defend simple run around plays, i get so frustrated when i see Sione Lousi, Lillyman and Brown on the field at the same time. All go forward automatically goes away, as does any ball playing by the forwards.

When the score was 0-0, I promised my son (of non-drinking age) he could have some of my beer if the Warriors reached 20 points by halftime.

I thought it was pretty damn funny, but I guess that would be the thing that angers him the most about last night.

I don't know about angry but for me it was like watching a car crash in slow motion. You know what is going to happen but there is nothing you can do.
I absolutely knew the Knights were going to score just before halftime.
No points in the second half? Limp.

This again comes down to Bluey and his ridiculous bench rotation.

I am just sick of watching big leads pissed away. How many games have we lost now that we really should have put away and banked the points? Where on the ladder would we be now?
Although we could have/should have got the Broncs the week previous, I was satisfied with that game. This game just infuriated me. If they can't get their shit together and not go napnaps for a while in a game, before desperately trying to win it back in the last few minutes, they simply do not deserve to be in the playoffs, and won't be.
If they do this again next week Manly will slaughter them. They've lost a couple in a row and they will be desperate as well, they're not used to it.
I know when I'm really pissed off with them as I'm grumpy the next day!

Blowing an 18 point lead.

Aimless bombing away on the last tackle.

Wingers who can't hold their position.

A lack of direction on the last.

Going into their shell when they (maybe) thought they had it won.

The wingers.

The decision to penalise Mannering when the bloke from the Knights dropped the ball cold.

That'll do.

That with all our "success" in the toyota cup.
That the best wingers we can come up with are tupou and slaimankhel.

This is an important point in my opinion, and all we have to do is look at the current NYC team and see Likiliki out on the wing for some ridiculous reason to see what part of the problem is.

We get it, big wingers dominate the NYC, and guys like Niko, Tupou, Collier etc have had great success at that level by simply being big and powerful against smaller guys. At NRL level you need something more.

Lolohea, Hiku and Hukatai all look like they could potentially make the step up, but not right away. Of course actually developing them for the wing instead of sticking Likiliki out there would be a good start.

For everything good Manu has done, the sudden obsession to have guys the size of props/second rowers on the wing is a result of his success. Problem is not every player can play the square peg being fit into the round hole.
