No order, just my thoughts :)

Roosters
Bulldogs(just)
Warriors
Melbourne
Brisbane (I think i once said there is a chance they may NOT make the 8, id like to revise that thanks :))
Newcastle (just)
Manly (Could be minor premiers, could also just scrape in... depends on BKS Ben Kennedy Syndrome)
Penrith/Wests/Saints ... honestly it ALL relies on Benji. If Benji is fit the Tigers will be top 4.

Cowboys
Broncos
Storm
Bulldogs
Dragons
Warriors
Sharks (i dont know why, i just think it'll click for them, might just make up the numbers in the 8 though)
Knights/Eagles (all rests on their halves combos, i think one of these teams (but not both) will be in the top 8

Why do i include the Roosters in my selections ? No doubt about it im biased as Hell. However i have many good reasons to include them even if i wasnt a fan. Every year, for the last 5-6 years the Roosters have been involved in Lower Grade GF's. We HAVE IMMENSE TALENT right there. And we've finally got a coach who can lead them to the top grade. Thank god the Sharks arent looking for any talented juniors coming their way ....

a couple of things..seeing you mentioned Lower Grade grand finals, we've won the last 2 in PL and yet you didn't include us and other than Jamie Soward who else is left from your all conquaring, record breaking Flegg side from 2004?

8th spot will be battled out by: Roosters,Eels,Knights and Tigers, i would have to put the tigers as 8th although it depends if marshall is fit for the whole season.

1.Melbourne - Have the same side as last year.
2.Canterbury - A lot of talent.
3.Newcastle - As long as Johns stays fit and well.
4.Roosters - Mini back, strong roster and a great coach in Anderson.
5.Brisbane - Wouldn't surprise me if they missed the 8 but I'll go with 5th.
6.Parramatta - New enthusiasm with Hagan as coach
7.Manly - Will miss Kennedy but still should make the 8
8.Saints - Will drop back. They have had their chance and it is gone.
9.Warriors - Good effort last year, but they are peahearts.
10.Cowboys - Overrated for sure.
11.Tigers - Fluked a premiership, just middle of the road.
12.Sharks - Stuart will make a difference but not enough.
13.Penrith - With a captain like Gower their discipline has to be questioned.
14.Titans - New boys will do OK.
15.Raiders - Some good young players but no experience.
16.Soufs - Joke of the league have a mortgage on last spot.

Now, being a Souths supporter I am also biased... however I seriously don't see the Roosters as having a Top 8 side. (Nor do Souths for that matter). Their backline will be very good, but their halves will be untried and their forward pack will be.. 'solid'. They're lacking a few ball playing forwards to make any real inroads. Braith doesn't cut the mustard, Ashley is injured and Myles, Nutley and Beattie all play the same brand of footy. Someone like Setimata Sa will need to step up and make a spot his own or I think you're side will be a little too one dimensional.

1. melbourne - still looking very strong and inglis getting his hands on the ball more is a scary proposition
2. cowboys - like there mix this yr and smith will take much needed pressure of thurston
3. broncos - too much class in that squad not to be top four
4. bulldogs - if sbw and the rest of their stars stay fit should get there
5. panthers - new coach new leaner meaner attitude, if he took a bunch of nobodies like canberra to the 8 imagine what he could do with our roster
6. souths - best buys of off season, really smart new coach in taylor.
7. titans - just like there squad alot of talent there, expect them in there
8. st george - stars will get them there, the rep load is the only reason why they are not higher

1 Storm - So good on paper its scary.
2 Bulldogs - Will be back with bite
3 Sea Eagles - This is the year they will consolidate, even without Kennedy
4 Broncos - Will turn in a solid year
5 Dragons - A typical slow start to the season, ramping up toward the end
6 Tigers - pending Benji's fitness
7 Warriors - The smokey
8 Cowboys - Back in the fold after a disastrous 06

9 Eels - Will be in the mix for a while
10 Knights - Their lacklustre, impotent end to last year is burnt into my brain. Commitment a concern. And how will Smith settle in?
11 Souths - Will begin the climb up the ladder
12 Roosters - Better but still not good enough. Purchase of 2 x 30+ front rowers (almost retired) from ESL says a lot.
13 Titans - Reasonable return to league - depth is of concern
14 Panthers - Will start the year strong but too inconsistent to continue the momentum
15 Raiders - Not without hope as many predict, but will struggle if a few key men get hurt
16 Sharks - Diabolical last half of 06. Even with Ricky Stuart the club, the demons of last year will be hard to eradicate. What the hell is going on down there???

Storm, Broncos, Eels to fight out top spot. (1,2,3).

Dragons, Bulldogs, Panthers one of these will make up the top 4. (4,5,6).
Dogs 4th, Dragons 5th, Panthers 6th, difficult to seperate.

Souths, Tigers, Cowboys, Knights and Warriors two of these for the eight. (7,8,9,10,11). Souths will just miss the eight on averages. My pick for 7 & 8 are Knights and Warriors, but it'll be close.

Roosters, Manly, 12th & 13th.

Titans, Raiders, Cronulla battle for the wooden spoon. (14,15,16).
I think Sharks for wooden spoon.
