1 of 2 players (72. Woods) of ours between 50-100 of top paid players.

88. Chad is on $550k

I suspect we we have many between 1-50

Fifita, Dugan, Johnson, Moylan, Graham

Hope the club learns from this and roster builds bottom up with small contracts as the big ones expire. Chad on $550k also isn't as much as it sounds with a $9mil cap.

From sharks.com.au:

The Sharks are likely to be without premiership winning half back Chad Townsend for an extended period after scans revealed a grade two calf strain suffered in the closing moments of the win over the Dragons.

Townsend, who had played in excess of 100 games straight before missing the round four match against the Cowboys, is expected to be sidelined for around four to six weeks.

Anointed as the likely replacement by coach John Morris at his post-match press conference on Saturday night, local junior Connor Tracey is in line to come into the Sharks side as Townsend’s replacement.

Tracey has been playing the role of bench utility for the Sharks during the 2020 season but has come through the junior ranks primarily as a half back or five eighth.

It’s going to be an interesting 4 to 6 weeks then.

Hope they put Braydon Trindall on the bench.

Well, this is a huge chance for Tracey to show everybody what he can do.

Ive got faith in him, he needs to be the guy that controls the game though. Let SJ do his thaaang

Trindall hasn't played 1 game this year but I'd throw him and keep Tracey on the bench to replace either BB or BT. Best to throw him in now rather than later if we get another injury there.

I prefer Trindall too Coolum but that would be a big ask having not played a game this year.

Happy to see Trindall get 15minutes or so off the bench at this stage.

Why wouldn’t you play Trindall and have Tracey on the bench?

If Trindall stinks it up, then Tracey comes on. If he doesn’t, then Tracey can still come on and cover Brailey

Duges will be back at left centre. Talakai at right centre. Nikora right back row.

Without CT can we handle this, the last halfback to out play Cronk in a GF, all those games he has won for us, his magic run through the finals of 2016, can the club survive without him

Think talakai can handle centre again? I’d rather swap those two around for the game or play Wilton and Nikora together on that edge.

Did me a grade 2 calf tear a couple months ago...f**king hurt. He’ll be at least 4 you’d think. High chance of a re-tear

did mine playing tag last year.

what a flop of injury, took a long time to get right, especially when you don’t do any physio or rehab due to stubbornness

Frenzy.

I have me doubts on Talakai getting 80 minutes out. But then, he may surprise.

Might have an affect on how many chances Big Sexy gets.
