I’ve never really get the player hate. Sure I’ll bag them, but some seem to genuinely hate them. It’s not their fault they’re getting selected. Blame the coach. If the coach can’t get it right, blame the board for not sacking the coach, if the board can’t sack the coach because of financial constraints blame yourself for following a shitty club.

Just saying he's spent about a decade in first grade, at half-back, playing finals nearly every year in recent history.

Oh and he won a premiership.

He might be dropping off now but he's nowhere near the dud that people here would have you believe.

You take just about any other player out of that team and they lose. You swap him out and they get better.

His greatest contribution was being an easy push out of the way for the scrum play.

Yes, he played with some marvellous players. But no one wins comp on their own in a team sport. I'm not trying to argue he's carried a team or anything.

I have said he has gone down hill in recent times, so I don't know why you're arguing about that.

To pretend that he has just somehow accidentally been selected in first grade for a decade is just sad. It reflects very poorly on your level cognition.

This is the issue. Chad is offering nothing. You can't have half who offers nothing. You certainly can't have a half offering nothing for another three years. Johnson is rocks and diamonds. Anything creative comes through him or Wade. Its not an excuse for Johnson as he is capable of so much more.

I do wonder how much petrol wades got left in the tank too, he's been playing first grade for a long time and puts his body on the line every week.

He has gone downhill from a very low position.

Never said he was accidentally selected, he was serviceable when he just had to shovel the ball to good players. And that is the key word, serviceable but that earnt him an upgrade but performance since 2016, with the exception of odd spurts, has degraded..

Now he is in a key position, with a wealth of experience and as you said declining but at an age when many halfbacks are in their prime. For example DCE is 2 years older, yet doesn't seem to be declining.

I maintain that he is now selected on prior rep and regard he is held in by the club, not current playing ability.

I'd be happy to have him selected if he had a decent half with him. He doesn't but that is another issue.

Personally I would like to see Trindall given a go, and wouldn't be surprised if Ramien et al agreed, as he could be the future for the club. Chad is not and should not have been resigned, we had options he most likely did not.

If he needs to be in the team, bench hooker.

I am at the stage where I ask myself why I subject myself to this shit week in week out. Even when the fulltime whistle blows and we win I think or know we played like shit.

I end up angry and pissed off and there is the homer simpson type of a voice in the back of my head telling me that there is a cure. I can stop this.

Stop watching it. Watch the replay of the games that we actually play alright in. You know, actually have a decent crack instead of the predictable pile of stinking shit served up every week.
